Ok - so the Ipad 2 jailbreak will be released in as little as a day and it will be as simple as going to a website like the jailbreak.me that was done in the past. I expect someone with an Ipad 2 and Optimum 1.0 to help us all out!

Yup it might not work, or work minimally. Was just a thought.

Thank you, Penguin. I wasn't aware of that. I appreciate it.

Someone was kind enough to provide a V 1.0 but when I tried to put it on the iPad with such software it didn't work. It actually provided a DRM type error. Unfortunately it appears it does have DRM even though it is free. It looks like the only way is for someone to run some software on a working copy on their iPad to be able to clean it up for someone else to use ;(
The 1.0.api has to be uploaded from the iPad through the app I'm referring to. The DRM is stripped during the upload. If I still had my iPad 1 I could do it but I sold it.

The 150 is a big battery. It'll work great with your MBP.

I loved the Blue Album, but the other album I tried from them, the Green Album, I didn't really like. Still, this is half the price, so I downloaded it anyway :p
Man, I have no self-control when it comes to music

We use Glyph drives at the (university) recording studio where I work, and they've been fantastic. They're the hot-swappable models (these drives (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GTKey500-8/)), but I've heard good things about all of their products. You'll find lots of specific models if you poke around Sweetwater's site.

What were you expecting out of the new one that makes what came out seem so bad.
I think the disappointment centers on the GPU & screen. The 13" Air has higher Res and better GPU. Apple could have done better but since the full redesign isn't until next year, the ODD stayed and the GPU suffered. The masses will still buy them so I'm sure Apple doesn't care if a few of us grip.
Cheers,

Yuck doing multi-touch gestures on a crappy plastic trackpad... The experience won't even come close to the glass MBP trackpad ;)

Clearly you don't travel, it's not like we want these unlocks and bankrupt AT&T to go to tmobile, we use it to mostly travel and avoid roaming charges. It's bull that every other phone can be unlocked by AT&T but the iPhone. I'm not going to buy another phone, or use some crazy gevey sim, or wait months for a software unlock that will be broken once more. Moving to another country is just not an answer. Land of the free my ass.

not irrelevant to many others. a lot of people use it for trips through the country where they take pics of buildings, scenery. there are even enough professional uses like scouting out the locations for a new golf course, new hotels, camp sites, movie set locations and many more.
there are already other solutions for it though.
you just have to have the time between your GPS device and your camera in sync. there are programs that map the automatically the pics to the gps location via the time when they where taken. sony has a dedicated gps but in priciple it works with all of them.
seems that technology is then just integrated in iphoto. sounds neat.
What I'm thinking here is that the GPS is integrated into the camera. So when you take a pic, the GPS coordinates are recorded in the metadata so you know where it was taken.

I've never understood the argument against the Air because of it's lack of DVD drive. I have no idea when the last time was I used mine, and it takes up a massive amount of space and weight on my MacBook.
My falling-to-pieces '06 MacBook now has a DVD of "A Bridge Too Far" stuck in its drive. I'm going to try to position this as a feature if I ever sell it, and target WWII movie buffs.

Can't you just:
[1] Use -webkit-box-reflect (as you do currently for Safari)
[2] Include -o-box-shadow (for Opera)
[3] Include -moz-box-shadow (as you do currently for Firefox)
[4] Remove the box-shadow declaration
*slaps myself in the face*
Of course, all I had to do was put -o- before the box-shadow... Don't know why I'd forgotten about Opera's prefix.
Works great, thanks. Now, just to get Internet Explorer to render the page in a way that isn't completely ugly...
Thanks for the help. Any thoughts on the design then?
EDIT: Never mind, spoke too soon. It looks like -o-box-shadow doesn't work in Opera... For me, at least. Also Opera doesn't do the border-radius on the images any more (I believe it did do so). Not sure what's happening here.

i believe /system/library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/N81AP.plist
make sure its N81AP, not N18AP. look for the device name string.
I checked that file and I can't find any device name strings. I'm using a 4g 32GB btw.
I've tried looking around and can't find what file to edit.

At first you won't need more than 1 terabyte. Honestly...also, TWO cores is enough to do heavy photo editing AND listen to music while you're doing it.
Also, keep in mind that harddrives last 5-6 years....CD's and DVD's can last decades. Back up important data to CD's and DVD's and keep them safe...
If you ever go into photography as a pro, and somebody wants a copy of their wedding photos it would be nice if you're able to provide it 20 years after the occasion. Photo prints don't last hundreds of years, eventually the prints may need to be reprinted :)
Keep these things in mind.
Thanks for reiterating the value of media and I will :)
The 27" iMac all in one is a nice system, but I desire expansion. Also, I want to perform all the work on my computer. I am sure a two core would suffice, but I am honed in on a Mac Pro, as it is my only solution.

It will only save whatever shsh files Apple's currently signing (and right now that's only the 4.3.1 file).
