I just hope there is some mention of this at next month's rumored iOS 5 developer media event. I've wondered off and on how :apple: would distinguish and bring their own mapping application to iOS devices (and possibly Macs) apart from Google Maps. Graphically and for overall user experience, I much prefer Google Maps over Bing Maps, MapQuest, and the like. Just hope :apple: will bring something stronger and more robust than Mountain View.

For specific fair use (http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html) purposes determined at the copyright clerk's sole discretion "jail braking" cellular phones is legal under current D.M.C.A. anti-circumvention exemptions. (http://www.copyright.gov/1201/) You'll be seeing these ads until at least 2012, when the statute expires until otherwise renewed. Not surprising that Google is advertising perfectly legal activity, considering that they advertise everything whenever they can.

FYI Lion Preview 3 has fixed automator! :)
On a side note it broke safari as it now opens the last web page viewed no matter what you set your preferences to. :(

I think that is more proof of the fact that it was never a bug. Apple was doing it that way on purpose and the only reason they are claiming it was a "bug" is because they got caught big time.
The lie is the fact that it is a bug. It was done on propose and right now Apple is just doing CYA.
Given that the database is a local cache of some information that already exists on Apple's servers, what do Apple have to gain by designing it this way on purpose? Nothing.
The data in the file is not generated by the phone, it is retrieved from Apple and stored.

I'm a web designer and I think that part of good web design is flexibility and compatibility; in other words, a good website design should be one that can be customized at the will of the user, such as resizing a text box that is too small.
Besides, have you seen this in action? (I got a 403 when I tried to view the blog - I don't know about you). Do we know that resizing a text box will rearrange any other elements of the site? Knowing Apple, they've probably come up with some way to resize the text box in a non-destructive manor, and maybe resize it back to it's original size when a user isn't using it. Does that make sense?
All these features sound like great additions to Safari - especially searching text in a web page; it's about bloody time Apple!
