Personally, I prefer encrypted disk images. That way you've got a protected "vault" of files.
Other than that, I don't know. :)

Mind you I live in Europe, which is a European country. In the European verison of WoW, you can play on EU servers, and in the American version of WoW, you can play on US servers. I want the EU version, and in Europe, for some wierd reason, you need a trial key.

I am trying to get the icon for the phone app on the iPhone, but I sold mine and bought an iPod Touch. If you could please SSH into your iPhone and get the icon for the phone app that would be awesome.
Here are the files I need:
icon.png
icon@2x.png
They should be in the app folder for the phone app. Please don't edit them at all. Just attach them to your post.
Thank you so much in advance!

Really? I thought that applied to all Apple products apart from the iPhone, at least that's what my local store (in Shanghai) told me.
if your local store told you otherwise, then i guess not. but ive never had problems with international apple stores (Canadian iPhone, Japan Ginza apple store)
other than that, based on the level of detail in your situation, there's nothing else to tell you than "buy a new phone," if your local apple stores turned you away.

I have an iphone 4 that ive had since june and never updated past 4.0.1.
I tried to do a reset on the phone and it just got stuck in a boot loop.
I have it in DFU mode now and i have the 4.0.1 ipsw file, but i cant restore it through the latest version of itunes or itunes 9.1.
How can I do this?
Thanks
without SHSH blobs save, you can't restore to 4.0.1. Apple is currently signing 4.3.2 and you can only restore to this firmware only if you don't have SHSH blob save.

I've been eye-ing the 27" i5 with 1GB VRAM (July '10 model) for a few months. I noticed that it has already dropped from $1699 to $1449. I did a quick check with Google's cached version of the Apple Refurb store and confirmed that the price has recently dropped. So, I think the prices have already dropped for the refresh.
Cool, UK store is def still at old prices, hopefully it will follow suit shortly. thanks

Are you wanting to charge your Mophie in the car? If so it takes awhile to charge the Mophie up full to begin with using a regular wall charger.

Or use CSS or a style attribute:
Add this to your CSS file:
body { background: url("image.png") #FFF 50% 50% no-repeat fixed; }
Which is the same as:
body {
background-image: url("image.png");
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: #FFF;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: 50% 50%; /* horizontal vertical */
}
Or, if you don't have a CSS file just add a style attribute to the body tag:
<body style="background: url('image.png') #FFF 50% 50% no-repeat fixed;">
Note: I might have made some spelling errors... ;)

Looking for an Ipod touch 32gb for my sister. Would prefer to be in mint/pristine condition, and willing to pay about $300-$325 for it depending on the condition. If you are looking to unload yours, let me know. I am located in CA.
Have feedback on ebay under pegasusxpc.

Here's the background. I have a .swf file that I grabbed from Yahoo. The swf is a Yahoo avatar that a coworker is using in our fantasy football league. As a fun joke, I wanted to take his avatar and animate it.
The .swf is currently animated, but all it does it blink and move it's eyes. What is the best way to re-animate that?
I'm guessing that I'm going to have to physically draw the avatar frame by frame similar to a flipbook to get the desired animation. Then I would scan that into Illustrator and trace it; then import that into Flash. Is that the only way or is there another way that might be easier?

This may be obvious, but did you verify that there is power coming from the cord. That is, try plugging it into other idevices first. When the battery of my iPhone was completely dead, it did take more than a few minutes of charging before it came back to life. Having a large battery in the iPad, perhaps it needs more time?

Only the iPhone? Sharp for the iPod touch, iPad, etc.? Odd mention of only the iPhone.

Do AdrianK's second option!
If you do the first (copy the music from their library into your library) the each song file will be on your hard drive multiple times - if you have large music collections this can fill up a drive fast.
So, have everyone move their music library to the same folder and then change the location in iTunes (the way AdrianK said to). It might be a good idea to move all the artist folders (do it for each user, then continue), open iTunes (canceling any warnings about iTunes not finding you music files), highlight all your music (Ctrl+A), delete it (this should delete the entry from the library, not the actual file), and then change the music folder location as AdrianK mentioned. It should re-scan the all the files and add them back into the library. This should prevent duplicate entries in the library, where half the links would be broken.
I hope that helps.
Also, once everyone's music is consolidated, make sure and back it all up how ever you want to because...eventually...your computer WILL DIE.

Hi everyone.
I am selling my xbox. It was purchased in 2003 if I remember correctly.
Hardware:
XBOX & Cables
2 Controllers
DVD Remote
Games:
- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
- Nascar Heat 2002
- Splinter Cell- Stealth Action Redefined
- Enter the Matix
- 007 Agent Under Fire
- Dark Summit (snow boarding)
Condition:
-Xbox: there are two very small and light scratches on the top, but otherwise is in very good condition and works perfectly
-Controllers: One of the controllers black button can be sticky, but shouldn't be a problem since in most games that I have played, it is not a main button. The other controller is perfect
- Games: 007 game does have quite a bit of scratching on it but I'm not sure if this will effect game play.
Reason for Selling: I have never really played it that much.
I'm not really sure how much this is worth, and I'm guessing shipping would cost about $20. I have sold 1 product here, and that was my broken iPod to mirproducts I think. Make a reasonable offer if you are interested and as always no scamming.
PM me if your interested.

I actually think youtube looks quite clean and professional now when embedded in websites.
There's not much you can change, besides the color (I think) and size, which don't really matter.
I would say, don't include related videos at the end.. here's a little hack for you.
Here's a normal YouTube embed html code:
<iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UkvNmb9tMII" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
put &rel=0 at the end of the youtube url in the code to disable related videos.
So besides doing that, YouTube looks pretty good to me already.
If you really want to look professional, go with Vimeo (http://vimeo.com).

I will definitely be there for the launch... But I have learned that they will be well stocked from my iPhone experience. No more waiting in line for 6 hrs! :)
I just hope they stock family packs, or I'll be leaving empty handed... :(

I am looking for any info on being able to program/automate some sensors around my house using wifi and my mac.
Essentially an example would be to send an email to my smartphone when our garage is open for XX amount of time... or when the sensor is tripped while where not home.
This maybe a longshot but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

The "no input controls" is normal with audio interfaces that have physical audio controls (gain, phantom power on/off etc).
Your problem could be caused by many different things like bad cable, not using phantom power on a mic that needs it, wrong track settings in Garageband and so on.
