I'm all for companies protecting their IP.
However, it seems like Nokia is grasping at straws here since they've been turn down a couple times already.
Also... I really believe that there should be a time limit on when you can sue a company over an infringement when there is a shipping product involved. Waiting until it's wildly successful and then suing is silly. If they cared so much about their IP, they should have sued 4 years ago when the iPhone came out.

Is it me, or are the decimal points on the photo for "Capacity" and "Available" both commas?

I thought Apple would dump him because he was portraying a hacker in a new movie.Folks were wondering if the hacker would use a PeeCee or a Mac.
Interesting.
What movie?

Apple has seeded a new version of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) to developers. Apple first previewed and seeded (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/08/20060807161421.shtml) Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) at the Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) in August.
This same build was later seeded to Apple Developer Connection developers (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060919114413.shtml), with one minor online update in September (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060901021041.shtml) bringing it to build 9A241e.
Today's update is only available for ADC developers (Select and Premier) and is intended as a fresh-install (rather than updating the previous build of Leopard).
Changes listed from the WWDC seed include:
- new Parental Controls preference pane for content filtering, apps, and curfews
- Significant user interface changes to iCal
- 3D audio cues to indicate locations of items on the screen in the VoiceOver screen reader
- Basic editing in Preview
There are still several known issues documented.
Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) is expected to be released in Spring of 2007.

What does the screen look like when you remove the front flass panel? Is is still glossy under there? If the glass panel is just stuck on magnetically like that then what prevents companies of making simple bezels to replace it with the screen area cut out?
Magnetic ... glass isn't magnetic ... only iron, nickle, cobalt are magnetic. Your suggestions are not even possible ... learn physics before you suggest crazy ideas like this.

The law seems discriminatory against women. What about ski masks or someone like Michael Jackson (when he was alive) and his black kerchief or when he covered his children's faces?
That would be illegal with the new law as well. AFAIK, it's now illegal in France to wear garments that conceal one's face in public - not only for women but for men too. Since it applies to women and men equally, it's not discriminatory.

What?
iTunes have never been a part of the iLife suite and it have absolutely nothing to do with iLife except for media browser type of deals.
It was originally in iLife but has since been removed. I guess we're both right. Or wrong.

Just weight an MBA 13, and figure out why it weighs more and costs more.
And if you shrunk the bezel while still using a standard sized display (same cost), the keyboard would stick out the sides, which would look pretty whacky.
I was pretty clear that I wanted a bezel shrink to accommodate a larger screen not to have a smaller laptop.

This argument is getting old. The iPhone 3GS is available for $50.
true but TCO for any subscription iOS device is likely to be many hundreds of $$$ more than an android that gives a similar experience.
TCO is where the smart people look, I'm not surprised you missed it..;):cool:

Whoa. That's around 8 minutes of commentary about the issue. It's plain to see that Jon is secretly in love with Apple.
If that analogy holds true, then he is basically Rupert Murdoch's golf buddy? And his most favorite dinner guest is Sarah Palin?

For the last time.... it's not coming out this year.
iPad = spring
iPhone = summer
iPod = fall
Once a year cycle. Stupid source.
Except that the iPhone 4 will likely not be released this summer. ;)
Rules are meant to be broken, especially if you intend to keep your competitors on the edge.
I can agree that it's always unlikely that Apple will release multiple models from the same product line in one year, however.

Which part was wrong? Apple sent people to investigate the finders house, not Gizmodo, (http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2010/04/dude-apple/ ) And he also mentions that he knows Apple didn't ask the police to go after Chen (But then immediately goes on to say that apple should go after AT&T) I don't think any part of Stewart's commentary was inaccurate, just misleading.
The part where he omitted the iPhone was stolen property as to why the cops seized the computers and the fact calling Apple's tech support( which he just stated as Apple denied the prototype) as a proper way of action to return the device. From watching The Daily Show a lot, Jon while a comedian does tend to do some research on what he talks about. This one lacked a lot of the details surrounding the story. Even though he is a comedic reporter who does comedy bits of the latest news story and the media, he always seemed informed on the subject. It looks like he sacrificed the facts for comedy this time around.

sorry but i think its daft... i dont want to have to carry around loads of overlays...
not the first time i've seen overlays, the commodore 64 had a music keyboard overlay.
would oled keys not be a lot better such as the ones used on the optimus keyboard concepts??
http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/
WOW. Now THAT is friggin' brilliant. That photoshop keyboard set-up? ::drool::

I had to turn off my SB box for the week since I'm away from home on business, so that's probably another reason it dropped. This will probably be happening more often now, unfortunately for folding (but fortunately for me because I love my job).

Oh oh, body piercing...
<hold hands over eyes>
Quick, think of .... accounting <no! tax cuts>... anything else... washing dishes <No! Knives>... Bowling <NO! Pins>.... ok, my LP collection <Aargh! turntable has a needle>
Ulp!
<covers mouth, runs broken-field pattern toward bathroom>
Not the first time when this topic has come up in other threads - my sympathies, piercing seems to be one of those issues that folks can really squick out on...
Now, neildmitchell - getting any work done at Zebra is brave. I tend to think of that store as a hole in the wall compared to Body Manipulations or Black & Blue Tattoo in SF. Last time I was in there, I observed their tattoo guy smoking a cigarette and working on someone - great for the 1940s, but not so cool in 2005.
I do wash it immediately before bed, and when I wake.
They said wash 2-3 times a day, when washing ...Soap Rinse Soap Rinse Soap Rinse (three times the charm I guess, I also use a bit of it on my whole face just as an extra precaution but just one soap rise)...

"I think and hope that people are going to understand. There is as price for being an early adopter and your points and feelings are valid (Penello said when referring to gamers IGN suggested would be angry about the new system). But whenever you innovate and change, you have to face this situation. Your same old system is still perfectly valid."
"We could never have done this before, to bring HMDI and 120 GB to the system when we launched in 2005. The reason we didn't do it before was because the HDMI standard wasn't complete. It takes time to develop these things. We started the console earlier than Sony did and when the HDMI standard wasn't done. At the time we were developing, this stuff was in transition."
******* off you couldn't have in HDMI in 2005. MS really irks me with this move. I wanted a god damn HDMI port.... :mad:
I agree. There was already PLENTY of TVs with HDMI connectors in 2005! THE ORIGINAL HDMI SPEC was back in 2002!!! :eek:
Is it just me, or does Microsoft think that us consumers are stupid? Obviously they don't care about the current 360 owners. I can already feel the anger that you guys have...As for me, I'm actually pissed off for you guys. I mean, I've waited all this time to get one, and now I can get an Elite model. But, that means that people who have gotten a 360 a year before...Man... :(
More options to piss of the current customers eh?
