Get an M-Audio pre-amp, then you can plug any mic into it (Shure, etc).
Pre-Amp provides for much better quality and flexibility...

Sorry I do not have any idea about text writing in Dreamweaver. I think you should take help from some experts to write text.

flash is very powerful and robust. just about every computer on the internet has flash player of some sort and a simple audio piece could be done in a very early version of flash to ensure everyone can use it.

My wife and I weren't able to get the reservation to work, so we will be there nice and early to get in line. I was told that the mall itself opens at 6am for the Apple store opening at 7am. The entrance that will eb open is down by Talbots and the line will form there.

Hey guys,
The reason I ask this is because I saw a post saying that the iphone 4 white is Susceptible to limera1n and can be jailbroken, but does this new white version come with any kind of baseband update?
Or is it the same?
I want to jump from my 3GS to the 4 but I rely on ultrasn0w for the unlock!
Thanks

Honestly those rooms remind me of level designs for Portal 2...
How do you know what the Portal 2 levels look like?

I would think an OS X client would be the best, and a non-graphical client at the least, but I'm not an expert.
They did just realease the command-line client with a GUI frontend for turning it on and off, but I have experienced problems with it not wanting to stay off...

I have the v2 as well. I find it to be slow for file-open operations and randomly slow for reading and writing. Using it as an everyday desktop drive makes everything feel sluggish and irritating, so I use mine for archival storage where its speed issues* don't matter to me.
On the data side it has been 100% reliable. I have it on a UPS, so there have been no improper dismounts which I am sure helps. I don't have heat issues, there are 4x1TB Western Digital GreenPower drives in the box.
I also chose the Drobo because I did not want a NAS. I use my network for plenty of other things (A NAS plus streaming with iTunes is especially nuts, as your data ends up traveling over the network twice).
A.
* speed issues: Yes, I can get 35MB/sec out of it. Sometimes. Other times I will be copying a multi-gigabyte file from it and I'm lucky to get 10MB/sec. Just now as a test I tried to copy a 1GB file from the Drobo to /dev/null - 34MB/sec. I tried to copy a second, slightly larger file the same way - 10 MB/sec. I'm sure there's some cool technical explanation, but to the end user it's just unpredictable and annoying.

I ran a text sample of my name through this using all of my fonts and I couldn't replicate it on CS3. When I got to an unreadable foreign language font, it showed those open rectangles for the letters, but no "bong of frustration". I never edited my font list and braille isn't there. Maybe I just don't "see" it...:)

If you spend a lot of time in Premiere Pro you want the Quadro.
Photoshop has an OpenGL mode, but it's off by default and is usually slower, so I would say your card won't really matter for Photoshop.
But I should be able to turn ON OpenGL in Photoshop, correct ?

No, because VPNs operate at a lower level in the OSI stack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_model). VPNs run between layer 3 and layer 4, well below layer 7.

Hey all, thought I would give a quick little background setup on myself. I actually had an Apple III a long time ago, and now I'm going back. After my friends switched over to Macs a year ago (Quicksilvers) and then convinced another friend to switch (800 mhz 17" iMacs) I got really curious as to why they ditched PCs. After messing around with them for some time I really started to like OSX and then new Apple designs. I started reading this forum over the past efw months getting accustomed to what people tlak about with Apple and what I would need to know before I made the switch. Well, my new 1 ghz 17" iMac arrived last week and I love it. It has changed the way I view computers. I went out and bought the O'Reily Mac OSX: Missing Manual book to learn about the file structure and get acquainted with the new OS. I really wnat to master it. Glad to be on the other side and I'm sure you will hear a lot from me from here on out. Thanks.
Oh, and a little bit of personal info. I'm 20, a college student, and a Digital Media major. I actually use Flower Power iMacs running OS9 in one of my classes and now I have started to use the labs that have the dual 450 Powermacs running OSX, instead of the PCS. I have a class in Adobe Illustrator and running it in OSX is so much better then Windows.

Yeah. I just specified that.
WildCowboys. ;)
So what if you specified it.
The rules clearly state it must be your own work.
So you can't win.

If you want to put that unspecified HDD into the MB, then no, as the HDD in that desktop PC from Acer (http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/acer-aspire-x1700-u3700a/4505-3118_7-33508017.html) is most likely a 3.5" S-ATA HDD and MBs and MBPs and many other notebooks use 2.5" S-ATA HDDs.
Maybe have a look at Everest Home 2.20 (http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html) to analyse your Windows PC and look for the exact HDD model, or open the case and look for yourself how big the HDD is.

I had the same issues. I just used Boxee and it's advanced calibration options to make the screen fit. Does not help anything but Boxee so your Safari still won't fit but your movies will fit. You can also control Boxee over wifi with an iOS device. Let me know if you need help with that.

Is anyone else having a problem with the keyboard shortcuts in Safari not working after a short period time of using the browser? For some reason my keyboard shortcuts stop working after a while. Nothing I don't have any problems with anything else, just the keyboard shortcuts. A restart of the browser fixes it. Is anyone else seeing this?
Which shortcuts? Copy, Paste?
No problems here with most common shortcuts.
