If this is indeed the new iCal i will be happy, just open up the old ical next to that picture then you will see what i mean.
Funny, I had the opposite reaction.
Sure, it's cleaner. But for me, it just showed that once again, iCal is an anemic upgrade and missing the basic features that every calendaring program has had since 1992.

Hopefully it'll fail hard and GM will be forced to design a proper EV and not just another hybrid.
It's exactly what it needs to be. The market is not ready for a full on electric vehicle. Range, charge time, infrastructure, cost, etc is not where they need to be.
The Volt offers people to never use gas, but it is there if they need it. It's just the next stepping stone to eventually getting off gasoline. The Volt can appeal to everyone once the price of the technology goes down. The Leaf on the other hand appeals to a more limited group of people right now because it can only go 100 miles on a charge with a long recharging time.

Why Apple does not post the details on its Website???
Because its a "sneak peek" "preview".
Fact is that FCPX is going to be released in June, but be incomplete. The question is how incomplete. Apple probably doesn't know the answer to that either, which is why they are only giving out details for stuff they are sure about.

Why on earth does anyone care about such a trivial matter?
What difference does some actors presence within an Ad make?
None really... If Apple were to switch it all up tomorrow and replace Justin and John with two different actors, it would all work just fine. The only real catch is that their replacements better do just as good of a job or better. And that catch is bigger than one might think... Apple is willing to pay a lot of money to keep these guys doing this because it works. As soon as they try it with someone else, they're taking a gamble and would probably feel more comfortable changing the whole ad campaign if it involves new actors... And I don't think they're ready to do that just yet. They'll milk this one for all it's worth.

I really dislike this view. If you move to a country you should conform to their laws but not necessarily to the culture. Tourists should experience our culture (that's half the reason I love going on holiday) but it shouldn't be forced!
I don't like the idea of Islamic women wearing a veil, but it shouldn't be banned totally. Maybe restricted for security reasons (eg in airports) and maybe in schools so children can interact with their teacher better but not banned in public full stop. I do like the French law that says anyone who forces someone else to cover themselves should be prosecuted.
I don't mind if people move to the UK and don't learn English or live in a different way to me. It can be great to have other cultures around- just look at what it has done to English food (no longer meat + 2 veg like 50 years ago).
All I ask is that people contribute to UK society, they don't have to contribute to my specific culture.
hm i dislike that view so you think its alright too if a women from the UK is visiting Iran and walks around wearing a mini skirt
and as i am a "immigrant" as i am German ,but i speak english as i live in the UK , not because i would be forced to , but it makes communicating with the English Scots and Welch easier and for me thats common sense , ok i speak a little french , spanish , italien too , just because i sometimes go in these countries for holiday , and as i have traveled when i was younger around the whole Mediterranean sea i speak some arab too ,as its widely understood in islamic countries , ok none of those to a high degree , but still enough to communicate and i did not learn to speak those languages because i would have been forced to , but it makes life easier if i speak the language of the country i am visiting ,i get easier in contact with the people and their culture too , and for me that's the prime reason to visit another country , and i respect their culture and would not wear shorts and t-shirt in counties where its not custom to do so , even i come from a country where its normal to wear shorts and t-shirt
for example of customs or cultures in europe , we have a lot of nudist beaches in Germany , but i would not walk on Dover beach naked and argue i am allowed to because i am German and its part of my culture , but i could for example go shopping wearing absolutely no cloth at all in the city of Le Cap d'Agde in France as there the whole town is is an entirely clothing-optional city (population 40,000)
and if people dont use common sense then you need laws to enforce things that are not acceptable in certain countries , just because they are acceptable in others does not make it right

I think that's not correct. Some people need more than 128GB you know. Yes, you can carry an external drive but then why not carry a larger machine with more internal storage?
The 1366x768 resolution can be limiting. For example, Apple's own Server Admin software will barely show the summary page at 768 pixels tall. The bottom row of graphs are tiny squished things at the bottom. It's clearly not meant to run on this small a display. And it's a perfect example of something you would want on a small carry it anywhere Mac.
Like I was saying...

Two words: UI responsiveness. The huge boost the A4 provides makes the iPhone 4 worlds better than the iPhone 3/3GS. In relation to Android devices, their UI responsiveness SUCKS, even when they're running a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, which makes using them an exercise in frustration.
My peer has the iPhone 4...and I use it here and there...I really don't think there's anything different in regards to snappiness. Inherently there SHOULD be a bit more speed on the 4 but it's nothing I've noticed.
iOS rocks the socks off Android from a UI responsiveness perspective, and this is a CRUCIAL PIECE in growing and maintaining a user base. Most people don't care about the tech specs. They just want a device that meets their needs and feels "fast," and Apple has been able to provide that far better than any other smartphone maker.
I haven't seen the Android for long periods of time...but the A devices I've seen and used are very snappy. Of course, everything takes a bit of time to learn to use so you can't just say the Android sucks. Android is selling more than iPhone...the facts are in. :) Android doesn't suck. Maybe a particular device running Android but that's like blaming Microsoft because your HP/Dell/Compaq/Toshiba(insert your vendor here) has 1 particular model that ain't so great.
I'd love to get the iPhone 5...but my contract is up in Sep, the iPhone 5 is gonna be here in 2012 according to Apple and other sources. Can I wait? I dunno...and what will the iPhone 5 have that will ENTICE me to keep me as an Apple customer? If it's simply a (like the iPad 2) faster chip and more internal memory and 1 or 2 features(while, say, the Android has all sorts of better/cooler features), then nope...it's Android time.
I don't have a billion apps like some folks. My iPhone is really a video camera/camera, web surfer, and emailer device which I occassionally run an app like ESPN Scorecenter. The iPhone really needs to fix some simple PHONE features/annoyances like the Contact list, a Redial feature, and a few other things. Not to mention the years-old problem(s) of long voice memos and/or video footage that cannot be trimmed or synched with the almighty iTunes. Lame.
Overall I LOVE my 3GS...but sooooo many cool(er) phones and features out there this year that when my contract ends, I will shop wisely.

Magnesium would be cool, but I thought it was more expensive than aluminum...strange. I'm probably wrong though.
I remember lighting thermite with strips of Mg in chemistry class. No iPod is going to burst into flames though, because the material will certainly have to be an alloy or at least coated.

bloodbone, despite your warning I decided to pre-order at BB today - I was 4th in line to order, they did not give an appointment but said they'd call a day or 2 early to schedule me.
With regards to porting the number I asked you about before, they said they couldn't check the note on the account without our corporate account number - can you confirm that? I gave them the phone number & told them it was on Verizon, but they said they couldn't check it using the phone number and needed the corporate account number. Work says they won't give it to me, and insists they never give it to any employee and that it's never been a problem before. I just feel like I'm going to get caught in the middle on launch day and that they're not going to want to spend anytime working out issues since they'll be dealing with so many customers.
Can you just confirm whether the corporate account number is necessary, or can they check it by just using the phone number? I just want to know who I need to press, work to give me the number or BB to convince them they don't need it.
Thanks again,
Jim

..."The Bible 2" or "The New New Testament!"
"The Jobs is my shepard, I shall not want... unless it has an Apple logo or iOS 4.3+"

Why is no one bringing up the upcoming 5 year anniversary of the iPod as a release date for the "True Video"/6g/Whatever-you-wanna-call-it? It would trump the Zune release, it would be in time for the holiday season and it would be the perfect way for Apple to show what they can do in 5 years of development. Kind of the "Re-birth" of the iPod, 5 years later.
Is there some grand reason the anniversary is out of the question?

I HATE the whole idea!
I used to walk to a shop buy a CD with a HARD copy it was MINE I paid for it! a physical copy I had controll over.
Then we had MP3's with that lovely DRM removed to let us do WHAT WE WANT and had a PHYSICAL file on my laptop or pc it was MY FILE.
So what we saying now?
Upload all YOUR music your PAID for back to Apple or whatever company running it so they have the whole controll to pull it all when they want!
No copys, no files, all on the server and it dont stop there it will be personal stuff soon eventualy everything cloud based and your trust in the company to keep this all safe!
NO WAY I'll stick to my few terabyte hard disk and stream it from MY PC not THERE servers!
Never heard of mainframes? Computers are just coming full circle, that's all, with the internet replacing local connections.

Avid is for mac as well, in fact it used to be mac only. CS5 is also for mac, the only major editing programs that aren't for mac are Sony Vegas and Grass Valley Edius, which don't have a major market share. So a 49% figure is probobaly accurate if you include the people running Avid and Adobe on Macs.
The share thing is quite tricky isnt it?
Last time there is a report adding the sale of ipads to the apple computers, then apple instantly overreaches at least two major pc competitors in only one quater? i believe most CS5 users run their job on non-mac platform, and adobe may have that data. Just curious whether CS5 shows the same performance on both platforms if identical computer resources are offered. I guess those editors have their preference since they usually possess several workstations for specific jobs and they can try it out.

sorry but i think its daft... i dont want to have to carry around loads of overlays...
not the first time i've seen overlays, the commodore 64 had a music keyboard overlay.
would oled keys not be a lot better such as the ones used on the optimus keyboard concepts??

WOW. Now THAT is friggin' brilliant. That photoshop keyboard set-up? ::drool::
