Thanks for the replies.
I went to the ATT store yesterday to get it checked out. But lines were crazy. So said F it and went home. Left it on edge all day. Today 3g seems to be back tho.
So all is well.
Thanks again.

Hi,
just bought a Macbook Air recently (2010 edition) and at the same time I bought a mini displayport-HDMI adapter and have been using that to display things on both an external screen and movies on my TV- similar to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-DisplayPort-DP-HDMI-Adapter-MacBook-Pro-Air-/170621528292?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b9d5e8e4
Now the other day, I took out the converter from the mini displayport on my mac while I could see my mac homescreen picture on my TV, and after putting it back it seems it cannot connect any more to either TV or external monitors.
When I insert the above converter the screen on my MBA turns blue for a second, just at it used to once it detected an external screen, but then nothing happens??? I am very new to the mac world, but can I accidently have turned some setting off or any clues on how to determine what is wrong here?
Unfortunately I dont knwo anyone with a mac I could just try my cable with.
Thanks in advance!

I have TCF Bank, which a quick google search will yield what complete ********* they are. I've had my share of problems with them over the years and have every intention of dumping them like a hot potato the minute I'm back in America.
For the last three years, I've wired money home for my student loan, etc. It's all I use the account for--no extraneous sloppy spending.
For the last month there has been a residual, positive balance from paying last month's bills. Haven't used the account since, everything's long been posted. It's pretty simple--send home money, when it posts, pay bills.
I sent home money a few days ago. It posted. I paid my bills online, and am waiting for them to post.
I logged on just now to check on them, and see that TCF has now decided to screw with the balance, so it will be $500+ negative once everything conveniently come in, and then they will hit me with NSF fees. Thinking what the hell is this, I looked back at the maximum history on my account (1 year), and now they show that as far back as that the account has had tons of times where it's been negative, which is not the case.
So they've screwed with the account balance, manipulating it so it's massively negative so they can screw me. Two days ago I had a positive balance with everything posted.
Has anyone else's acct. shown similar strange activity the last couple days? I dread calling them because they absolutely, positively, are NEVER wrong.

Bug? I would say it is the local backup that's new to 10.7 and set to on by default (System Preference > Time Mashine > Options > Local backup).

Hi there,
Nope! This is a completely different set. The original one from DOD was a 5 MB set while this one is 98MB.

Newegg.com has this for $250 with a $50 rebate...is this a good deal?
THIS MONITOR (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-001-171&depa=1)
im thinking about buying it
It's pretty good deal, but that Samsung doesn't have DVI input, if that's important to you (would be if you have bought or are thinking of buying a Mac Mini)

I recently picked up a used iMac to give to my son for his birthday (today).
I booted it up last night (OS9) and while it seemed to work just fine, there was a very loud and very annoying hum/buzzing sound coming from the machine.
Anybody know what it is or how to fix it? I know it's not normal.

I've got a whole bunch of Apple t-shirts (some worn, some not) and other bits from when I was part of the MSC programme, which pre-dates the Applestores in the UK.
Just wondered if there was anywhere that specialises in buying such things. I would rather sell them on then put them in the bin. Not sure if your allowed to sell stuff on this forum.
Thanks in advance!

I could also gouge my eyes out, but it's not really a solution.
I actually laughed out loud. That comment made my day. (And I deleted the two smilies I originally had in this post!)

Can't you save them to an external drive?
I do, but then if you want to actually use them in iMovie you have to import them into iMovie from the external. At least that's what I've been doing so far as I have not been able to find a workaround.

He should to upgrade to at least 768MB. I would not run Tiger using less than 512, the computer is crippled with pageins/pageouts.

As you have read, I can't decide between the Ipod touch 4gen 64gb, and a refurbished Ipad 1st gen 64gb deal from Apple site. They both are around $400.00 USD. I would like the ipod touch b/c i currently own a ipod classic, an would like to get into the world of apps, and games(i never owned a console). What do you guys think for games and music and apps, should i go for one over the other? What are the other perks in the ipad? and should you guys think to opt out and go with the ipad 2 as well? Please reply..and thanks for your comments.

Hey guys,
Do you have any suggestions for some decent/fun split-screen multiplayers for PS3? I have all of the Call of Duty's, but I'm looking for some other games to try with my friends.

Hi all-
I'm attempting to reformat an external drive that was once in my old Windows machine- I have no problem reading file on the drive, but it as marked as read-only and will not let me write/delete. I would love to reformat this drive at some point and find a better use for it, and any advice on how to fix it would be wonderful. Thanks!

It appears to power the device plugged in, but it doesn't get recognized.
Check your Apple System Profiler and see what it lists as USB ports/devices.
