I'm 100% sure that people ask it many times in this forum, but i just had to ask.
I'm finishing soon "C for Dummies, 2nd Edition", what should i read next? my goals at the end are to know how to program an desktop application, not a game.
Thank you very much, as i understood i need to learn, C, C-Objective, and no idea what after it. So if can someone please give me the next step after i finish reading the C for dummies book i will be very thankful.
My learning style is hands on experience, i like to read and than write the book's example, so not just reading...

Nothing amazing.
It's pretty cool, you just might want to try to get rid of the skip that happens on every cycle...
Another thing--could you shrink the sig?!!! Thanks! ;)

I had an old broken mini knocking about. It was a pretty useless paper weight so I wanted to do something more creative with it.
This what I got, still yet to make the base, but basically, hollowed it out then disassembled then reassembled the clickwheel so it took less space. Now I think I am going to gift it to my tutor (also a big apple fan) when I leave school:

It depends on what the thing is.
Be specific about what you want to listen for.
It also depends somewhat on how often you want to check for these events and whether the events are transitory or longer lasting state shifts.
In the case of a file appearing. Does your task need to happen immediately after the file appears? Can it wait a minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes? Is there any chance the file will disappear before you can act on it? ...

more studios need to sign on. this is essential.
but apple also needs to offer more freedom with studios on pricing. the dvd retailers don't want new titles being offered for much less than they can offer.
also... lets face it. many people want video rentals, including studios. I wouldnt mind myself. who wants to permenantly own a movie on my mac? i don't, it isnt same quality as dvd or Blu-Ray.
i'd much rather download it for a 48 hour playback window once first played.
ie, download it and put it on my video ipod or laptop., and it be playable on a trip, or somthing, but then later expire.

I always liked the name Showtime. It was suggested when Apple announced movies on iTunes.
Too bad this name is already used. It is the name of a premium cable/satellite movie channel in the US. Being that both are in the same "industry" you would never be able to secure the rights to the name.
Apple is not going to change the name iTunes. They already changed the name of the store from iTunes Music Store to just iTunes Store. They are not going to change the name of the app.

There isn't a lot of info on MIKE right now, but I would guess you could use it as a USB mic on your mac. (on the website it lists it as a usb mic for ipad, iphone, and mac). The biggest differences are that MIKE has no output. It is only an input device. As well as there is no line input, which the One has in addition to the mic input.

I sorta kinda see what you're after here, but a version with copy (or even your video idea with a narrative) might help make it work. The original Think Different posters were the same way, they all would have seemed merely peculiar if Apple didn't explain the phrase elsewhere.

Great! I have a 2011 15" MBP and based on my experience you should be very happy with your decision.

It seems there are never easy answers for my questions.
Yeah there is. Go to BB or OD or Staples or Walmart and get the cheapest switch they have ($20 or less). Plug it into the modem, and then plug both computers into it. I will bet it will work at that point.
If not, then you can always return the switch. My guess is that you have a DSL router without a built-in switch. Again, the actual model # of the router would be very helpful.

If they are to rename iTunes (which they won't) they'll have to pretty much rename everything else.
iPod? What the hell does that really mean?
iLife?
Safari?
QuickTime?
Sherlock?
DVD Player? (oh wait... that ones ok i guess)
People all know exactly what these products do, despite their non intuitive names. I'd say 'iTunes' is one of the apple products that actually does describe what it functions as - a music player first and foremost.

very different in many ways, Jobs says we make sure others ask but this doesn't answer today's question of does Apple get it and what do they do with it. Also, I'm a little afraid of Rubin's response "to my knowledge there is none but I wouldn't be for it" kind of a freaky thing to get.
We'll find out sooner or later about Apple with the lawsuits and the probe from law makers.
