Lost touch with Reality (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9261816/)
I know surround sound is nice, but who the hell would ever flush so much cash down the toilet?
Once you get into the thousands ($), the differences are infinitesimal.

Even my phone's a year and a half old? Also, If I have a 3GS will I get another one or a 4?
It can be any age and in warranty or out (if it's out of warranty, you get a new 90 day one). They will only replace it with the same one as you have, so if it's a 3GS, you'll get a 3GS

How did you get the ghosting effect? Was it all done in iMovie, or what?
Are the iPods at the end stock footage or did you do that yourself?
Yep all done with my mate iMovie
filming was easy 35 sec of wobbling around in the dark , editing in iMovie was a pain as it will not pick up my widescreen settings - so had to import as 4:3 and add the ghosting effect then exported to another project with the iPod advert in with the music and end bit in
chucked in some more effect - fast/slow reverse ect...
and export to iPod and done:D
i do not expect to win anything with this entry , but this is just a taster for me to do better
Just waiting for the weekend now and some good weather, so i can shoot the next one:cool:

All 3 items.
Looking to sell as a package for 85-90 shipped?
PM me if interested. Need the money for summer stuff, like my computer upgrade, a camera, and Otakon! :D
Only can accept USPS Money Orders.
I am willing to break it up if I can find buyers for all 3. Again, make offers. :)
Also have a 12" iBook G3 display, as well as various bits and pieces. If you're looking for a certain piece, lemme know and I'll see if I got it still. My iBook failed from the logic board crapola. Ugh.

Not a bad site but it looks like you're just pulling in stuff from MR's forum, i.e., the typing in tilt in the google search box of safari.

whenever i repair permissions (when updating osX .etc) the same permission always gets repaired. there may be others sometimes but this one is always there.
is this unusual?
i'll add the specific file permission once i do a repair.
ta. :)It would be nice if you stated which file always needs its permissions repaired. Afterall, there tens of thousands of files on each MacOS X computer. That said, there is a specific file whose permissions always gets changed during a permissions repair. IIRC, it has to do with ISO9600 CDs. At any rate, there is a short note in the Disk Utilities monitor window explaining why this file's permissions are what they are. It appears everytime this particular's file's permissions are repaired. All you have to do is read that note.

It's not hacked.
More likely to be due to you using an insecure password.

Hmmm...sorry - I'm all out of ideas beyond pulling it apart and removing the memory module and HDD. :(
I'll pull it apart tomorrow and take pictures. It had been in the garage for awhile, but was working when I last tested it afterwards. The battery however had bloated up and came apart. Doesn't seem to have done any damage in the slot, but could be somewhere else. All I know is that it gets hot in the back and it smells a bit like plastic (but my iPhone smells like that too, go figure :P.).

I can not edit song info using my iTunes. When I do File->Get Info and then go to the info Tab all the fields appear to be read-only. I can not edit. Can anybody tell me how to do it?
Thanks Is that just one song? It might have something wrong with it. If it is all of them - try repairing permissions?

I have a Power Mac G4 Quicksilver 2002 that I'm getting ready to sell, and I'm trying to upgrade it out for the next owner.
Who here knows what the best graphic card for a PM G4 is?
Here's my situation:
OS X 10.4.11 right now on it, wanting to upgrade it to Leopard soon.
512Mb RAM, about to put 1.5Gb in it.
Dual 1Ghz G4, probably going to keep that.
And a 40Gb Hard Drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Aaron.
PS. I've looked all over the internet to find this out, and I've gotten mixed answers. Just wanted someone here to clear things up for me. :)
Don't waste your money unless you are just trying to be nice. The computer is so old that spending more money on it is nothing but a losing investment.
Cheers

Yes, Movie playlists are allowed.
You can go even farther with changing the Media Kind property of a movie. Select a movie in your Library and open the Get Info window. Switch over to the Options Tab, and you'll see an option for Media Kind; it'll probably say Movie, but will allow you to change it to Podcast or TV Show.
You can use this to put all the episodes of one TV show episodes apart from others. Go to the Video tab on those and, after setting the Media Kind to "TV Show", change the "Show" field to the name of the television show, and voila! Those movies are now episodes of that TV show, and now show up in the TV Shows portion of the Library, grouped automatically under the show's name. They will also show up in the TV Shows menu of any iPod you sync the shows to.
Your school/science videos are best put under Podcast; you can group those by subject, using the technique above. Once done, those will show up in the Podcasts portion of the Library.

Note that bootcamp plugins are not supported for windows 7 64bit. Only 32bit version. So if you want to use your graphics card, your USB-ports, internet etc I advice to install the 32bit-version.

(Edit: I was writing at the same time as Chameeleon but I guess there's enough of an expansion on what he/she said here that its worth not deleting it)
I am not sure about whether or not you can use shortcut or alias files in your font directory...I am almost certain you can, because the fonts directory (/library/fonts) is just a unix directory and setting up a virtual path reference is definitely doable in Unix. But I'll defer that to someone else.
But two other observations:
1) Take a look at the program Font Book in the utilities folder. It actually allows you to create "collections" to manage your fonts, which would go a long way towards keeping different sets of fonts you add separated. You can delete an entire collection en masse, etc.
2) Also, you'll notice in the prefs for font book that you can add fonts for a user only. Fonts actually go in two places in MacOS -- in the /library/fonts directory and in the ~/library/fonts directory -- that is, within your user home directory. So if you don't want fonts being installed in system areas, then you can install your fonts in your user directory as an alternative.
So between the two, you might be able to get what you want without resorting to links and aliases. That is, install your fonts within new collections that you create in font book, and install them for current user only, so they stay in your home directory and out of the system directories....

I didn't buy an iPod so perhaps that does make me an interesting intelligent person :D
I went and bought an Sony's MiniDisc instead. Very happy with it so far. I don't need 10k songs in my pocket and for me it's a real putoff that models, hollywood stars, hip-hop stars, geeks, circus freaks and rich spoiled kids use it. Just the group of people that I generally dislike. :p

I guess you know about sbsettings and the Processes button which shows the running Apps. It doesn't show the actual processes but you can quit the running apps and there's the "Free up memory" button...
Maybe that's a start...
'Mobile Terminal' and the top command may show you the memory hogs.
I'm also interested in an Activity Monitor like App. So if there's something like that...
yeah, can we make a request?

They might release 10.5.2 when the Air is available for shipping, but for the demo, they probably installed a driver exclusive for the Air.
