my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.
It turns a great event into worthless BS. It was just luck of the draw that a Dem was in power when this happen and it was only a matter of time. I already am watching some people try to turn it into political gain and it makes me sick.
And if a Republican was in office when it happened, you don't think they would have tried to use it for political gain?

I actually hope it's moderately successful. Hopefully then, Apple will see fit to reduce their pricing schema on the iPods.
Realistically, it could go either way. Despite the debacle that is Windows, Microsoft has had a great deal of success with the XBox. I wouldn't be surprised if Zune isn't as bad as most members of MacRumors will make it out to be.

FYI, the article says that they didn't complete the download...you really need to download the reading comprehension app. ;)
Maybe just maybe I wasn't referring to any set of individuals but yet pointing out that anyone could go download the $1000 app and claim that it was an accident and get it re-imbursed. ;)

I can't believe people watch this show. I tried watching it to see what the fuss is all about.....it seems like such a formulaic cheesy sitcom.

I would happily pay the current fee for MobileMe if Apple offered some better options for hosting a website. Right now I pay for web hosting for a family blog and a flickr pro account. If I could host my wordpress blog on my idisk space with my own domain name, I would sign up right now.

There is more to this than the carrier tag.
I don't see a reason apple would need to create an iPhone for T-Mobile if the AT&T plan goes through. If it's rejected than maybe thats a reason then to possibly go on T-Mobile.
As noted in this thread... adding an extra band opens oter networks besides TM. Also, if purchased, TM cannot flick a switch on all their towers to make them at&t compliant.

But why the arbitrary distinction of "phones". It's an OS that can be run on multiple devices. Do you compare Mac laptop share vs. Windows laptop share? (In any meaningful context, that is)?
Phones are different. Regarding your example you can have "anything vs anything" so sure Mac Laptop share can be compared to windows laptop share. Just as Windows desktop share can be compared to Linux Desktop share.

The iPhone 4 will still be the best smartphone on the market when the iPhone 5 comes out.
Holding it back makes a lot of sense at this point.

Anyway, regards to the topic. The September event seems plausible, and i know many people speculated it to be the case before as well. Makes sense because they can't really upgrade the iPod line that dramatically anymore. Thus they can introduce the new iPhone 5 and iPod Touch together, without people already knowing what the iPod Touch will encompass.
Only question is, can Apple keep the demand in Fall? with iPod line, iPhone and Mac upgrades?
On a side note people, don't put the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 under the same rumor umbrella. Clearly because, the iPhone 5 will come out this year, and the iPad 3 won't.

I'll decide what to do later, I'm well within the 14 day return obviously, but I'm also not too keen on returning the laptop and waiting a few more weeks for a new one to arrive in Canada.
