Do you mean recording 4 tracks at once?
I'm sure 2GBs of memory would work but 4GB would be more ideal. If you're using 2GB, you should probably quit all your applications except Garageband (and Finder obviously).
Also, in Garageband's preferences, you can change settings to make sure recording the tracks won't slow down your Mac too much.

LOL. Climte gate showed the world that junk science and data suppression are the norm amongst these fraudsters, and that they'll stoop to any level to "prove" their preposterous theories. These global warming "scientists" are laughing stocks.
Here's something for ya, to post in threads like these:

I'm trying to copy my iTunes library to a thumb-drive so that I can play it in my car ( it has a USB plug). My problem is that the car can't play apple
Lossless, which is how I've ripped all the music in iTunes. For one of my iPods, this is very easy, where you can choose to down-res your library during the sync. Is there a way to do this using the export function? Should I just copy the files and move them to the thumb-drive and then down-res them? If I did that, how would I keep iTunes from down-resign my original library. Advice please!

Just what it says - when I'm on the intel GPU, animations start off sluggish, which is really annoying. If I start Twitter (which causes a switch to dGPU) everything is smooth - is anyone else seeing this?..

I'm used to minimizing windows into application icon (to keep dock icon positions consistent ;) and using expose to pull them back up, which is hunky dory on Snow Leopard, but I'm trying out Lion DP2 and this breaks completely - is there any way to get MC to treat minimized windows as if they exist? I know you can swipe four fingers down at the app's dock icon but that just reduces the target area into a small square as opposed to the entire screen, which really hurts usability.

I got the idea from the time 11 or so years ago when my kid brother and I just finished making something on my performa 5200 together. As we did a high 5, my brother said "Now We're Mac'n!". The idea of a person being the fin of a dolphin is from a lucid dream I had 10 years ago where I ran around the dream looking for good paintings to memorize. I made the ad by buying stock photography. You can see my hundreds of other lucid dream paintings at http://www.epicdewfall.ca

I just recently purchased logic and am loving it, however I can't record with other people yet so I wanted to experiment with the features using other logic tracks (numbers game gets boring after a while) so I looked on the apple website and here http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/artist-sessions/ it says it giving the opportunity to experiment with other artits logic tracks...but I dont see the download, does anyone know how to get them?

With an old G3 there should be plenty of literature. I'd be looking on the manufacturers' sites to see whether they support the OS you're running.
Also, the ebay ad says it has a PS/2 port, I think this is more likely an ADB port - I don't think any Mac has ever shipped with a PS/2 port.
I figured the PS\2 post was a typo. I always thought that older macs used different keyboard plugs.

Here is a tip: "does not work" is a nearly worthless description of the problem you are/were having. You need to describe both the problem as you perceive it (and how you have decided that it is a problem in many cases). You have done the right thing in telling how you got to the point.

If it is a concern, iMac handles games well too, but I would also suggest getting a PC for gaming if iMac is out of your range.

You are not stealing on You Tube, everything is streamed. They are going to go after page views because no physical media is being downloaded.

Seems like a lot of people have been having similar issues. Tried the old standby- re-starting the computer. That did it for now.

Start with the normal stuff.... zap pram/nvram, reinstall OS X, then call AppleCare.
And repairing permissions, slightly less drastic than an OS install.

I meant is there a way to render in certain format/s and if not can the rendered files , that I don't use be deleted?
How do I find those files?

anyone?
Are you? Or are you just curious about whether or not they exist?
I played with a Friend's 2009 13" MBP with Lion on it, and didn't notice any heat issues.

I would hold off buying, a new mini is 'due' to be released if you consider the typical refresh rate.
Also is your connection wired? if so then 1080p should be fine. I have never had great results over WiFi but I guess that depends on the structure of your home / position of your wireless router etc.

Spend 20 seconds looking at MacRumors forums and you'll find dozens valueless, off-topics posts that don't get deleted. Please don't hide behind that.
Ha ha. I think I just got accused of being trollish for pointing out something that Arn says ought to be disclosed anyway. This is rich.
As you can see from the publicly-available thread that WildCowboy referenced, and the links to two more such threads in that thread, they're not hiding anything. If they were trying to hide something, they would have deleted those threads and wouldn't have directed your attention to them. They also would have deleted this thread if they were trying to hide something.

We all know that George W Bush's entry into power was flawed but that is America, not the UK....
Democracy has always been about majority voting, the most votes wins, so if 40% is the most then its only fair to allow that party to govern.
The reality is that many will not think about their secondary or third placed votes properly and we could end up with a government that in reality was voted in by mistake....
Yes, the current system is flawed but look at the figures globally, only a handful of other countries use AV and some want to get shot of it.
