Can you say more? What is task eater? How can it help?
thanks
http://www.tobiaswiedenmann.com/taskeater/index.html ability to set reminders recurring and once, there's an update coming to bring lists which i think you wanted, and there is self assignable categories so your tasks are organised by what they entail like home, work, business stuff.. and most of all it just looks great! :)
and so simple, which some love, others don't.. ive tried various difference todo apps and setups from Things, Wunderlist, Dropkick which is relatively unknown but so simple and has cloud sync and a mac client too
its all about what you like and what you'll work best with :)
thanks

Anyone else find it EXTREMELY hysterical that the receipt says "$440" however people are willing to pay FAR more than that? I mean wow seriously. Strikes me as a "You ********* moron" moment.
Good luck selling this! Auction is about to end!
Have you tried getting one in a store?

Way to give the guy mixed messages, eh?
Seriously, though, it's a tough call. If you're really into gaming, and the titles you want to play aren't out for the Mac, I'd hold off. If you do development, or creative stuff, the current PowerMacs will be powerhouses for a few years to come, and serviceable for a long time after that.
As far as Apple supporting the PPC into the future, not only would it be suicidal to hang their pro-buying customers out to dry, they've made it so easy to support the PPC with Xcode that I think we'll be seeing universal binaries for a long time to come... possibly forever: I suspect Intel will be releasing some new chips in the next few years that aren't strictly x86, and Apple's development tools are already chip-agnostic. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some more target-architecture check-boxes appear in Xcode in the future. Different apps will be optimized for different CPUs, so you'll buy the right Mac for the job.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.

And that is why they have our jobs.. hence another reason why we are in this mess for the long haul.. and it won't heal itself in one day.. try maybe several years, or perhaps longer than that.
They're not your jobs. How self centered of you. And the guy who just said meh...there is something seriously wrong with you. I'm constantly disgusted by lack of compassion of fellow human beings.

I am sorry if this is already posted, but I have a quick question. A friend of mines has the 2010 13" 2.4GHz model with all the standard specs no upgrade. Its in like new condition with the box and the accessories he bought his in Nov. from Microcenter when they was on sale for $999.99. He looking to sell it to get the i5. I trying to talk him out of it because he only uses it for basic stuff and its not worth the upgrade. But he wants to know a good price to sell it for he offered it to me for $700 and told me if anyone else wants it $900. But he hasn't gotten any serious buyers. What do you guys think a good sales price should be. He wants to pay as little out his pocket for the new 1. I was thinking of buying it myself but I dont think I would make much money off it. Because I just bought mines in Jan and i am perfectly fine with mines. So just need some advice for a good reasonable price point thanks.

Hi!
Ive just upgraded my 500GB scorpio blue to a new 5k750 and Im having lots of issues regarding perfomance.
The 5k750 is really slow, Im getting 43MB/s writing and 93MB/s reading using AJA as benchmark, and using Xbench only 44 of overal score.
Does anyone know if there is some issues in MBP 6,2 and new hitachi drives, or should I RMA it?
Thanks!

Id say that, if you can, get a G5 model over a G4, mainly as theyre ever so slightly quieter (I had one in my Garage, and Im 1 floor above and couldnt hear it, although the fact it was in a noise-reducing case probably helped, as they are loud) - Im intending on getting another infact, as theyre so shiny, and it is just plain cool having 1 sat in your collection. (Also very useful as a kindve file dump, as a sort of once every 3 months backing up the rest of your collection to it kindve dump).

Well, after a few days of trying to use various tools I was only able to recover a small amount of data... my ~250MB Thunderbird mail archive was not included, sadly.
I tried Data Rescue X, FileSalvage and VirtualLab, and none of them could find it - although many smaller files showed up. It's funny, all I was trying to do was install a TeX type app so I could n-up some PDF files... and I work with ~/Library all the time, I'm hardly a newbie. Just impatient and careless :(
The worst part is that I've had problems with my FW drive not being recognised, so my backups were fairly far-gone. After a month or so of wandering up and down the country without my safety net I find my last full backup was taken on December 27th, 2004.
Have put it down to 'one of those things'. Sigh. Hope nina's story comes out better...

It will probably work fine but silicone will stretch and lose shape over time plus may get "dirty" looking. TPU is a much better material, you can find them cheap on eBay, usually a couple of dollars. Some of the cheaper cases might not fit as well being that they are made with lesser quality in mind, but thats not to say you cant find a good either. All depends what your looking for.

Hi, just wanted to ask some first time advice.
My iPod nano 6th generation got dropped and th screen is completely smashed, it is still working but little shards of glass come out all the time. I have tried looking for replacement glass online but haven't managed to find a new one - Has anybody managed to purchase a new screen online, and is i easy to replace.
It only dropped a few cm, but this is possibly the costly consequence of a minature touch focused iPod.
Any advice appreciated, Thanks

Whoa, I'm all for that! Think the last "olympic" style game I played was the Winter Olympics on the Amiga, and before that Starfish Olympics (IIRC?) was a great silly game.
Sonic in SSBB? I just can't picture Sonic in a well made 3D game.

The iBook was around $20 bucks... so that's already cheaper than a G3 tower and I'm not too worried about replacing its parts as it would be more efficient to replace the whole.
I hooked it up and did the file sharing so I could connect from other macs....
One thing I noticed is that when I tried to play videos on my iMac G4 it stuttered constantly... at first I thought it was the iBook that was inadequate as a server... but when I tried playing the same videos on my MacBook Pro... it ran smoothly, as if it was playing from its native drive.
It didn't matter what type of files they were... H.264, AVI, .mov, mp4s you name it... all the same result... MBP = smooth, iMac G4 = stutter. I checked activity monitor to see if the iMac was too 'slow' to play them.. but it showed only about 50% of the CPU was being used with the rest just sitting idle. Both the MBP and iMac G4 are running on 802.11G.
I also don't think the 100megabit ethernet is a bottleneck since the bigger bottleneck seems to be airport itself. Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't 100mbps ethernet faster than 802.11G?
Lastly, sorry for the long thread... but the iBook is running 10.3.9, Tiger seems to bring it to its knees... and rightly so. I have 2 hard disks I tried on it... a 500GB FW drive and a 1TB FW drive... they are both formatted for mac... but the iBook doesn't recognize the 1TB drive and says I've inserted a disk that the computer can't read. The 500GB FW drive works just fine. Is there a size limit specifically for iBooks? My iMac G4 can read the 1TB drive but it's running 10.4... If it is the OS, is there any way around it?
