LOL No, that's the company store and it still exists.

I find it mildly amusing that even Apple used animated GIF bullets on their website XD

That would explain why my Xcode download timed out last night after getting up to ~3GB.
Fricken Apple doesn't understand the concept of bandwidth caps :(
Especially the bandwidth caps down in Middle Earth…
Its days like these that paying $80 for unlimited feels justified.
Jealous. $80 in NZ might get you 30GB if you're lucky.

To reset the password, boot from your Original OSX CD and under the menu select "change password". But I'm a little confused on your question... not sure what "it just installs or sends it right to the trash." means.

I have a 2007 MacBook and I've noticed how much crap I have under the keybaord. One of the keys has also become a bit weird. It feels like it won't press down properly.
Is there anything I can buy to safely clean it?

I thought there was a discussion back when Apple was switching to Intel about having stickers.
Intel and others pay the computer company to have the sticker placed on the machine as part of the marketing.
Obviously, Apple took a pass...

This app sounds perfect for what I'm looking for. Gutted its been removed from the app store.
Is there any way I can get it?
I've no idea what to do with the source files from the link above.
Would it be possible to have someone send me their .app folder if they already have it using SSH?
There seems to be literally no other option that will do the same thing as this app.

I've got one of these:
http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=behringer+u+control&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5457175468360533362&sa=X&ei=5U11Te7cHseShAf1xLVC&ved=0CB8Q8gIwAQ#
Its very cheap, the inputs are just line in.
What exact soundcard do you have? And what controller are you using?
Also what do you mean by your headphones needing usb power?
By far the easiest solution is to buy a better external soundcard, one with 4 outs to enable monitoring. Sound quality will increase and latency will be reduced.
Your soundcard is affordable for me, slight problem my speakers only have a 3.5mm input cable :/ same as headphones. How would the cabling work on your soundcard?

It's probably not updated. Office X is so old that it may not even be supported anymore. Search Microsoft's support sites for the latest patch and update Office X.
...if it still doesn't work, but Office '11.

I have an old iBook G3 (500Mhz 576MB RAM 10GB HD) that isn't so useful to me now... but someone mentioned I might be able to make use of it and set it up as a file server... It has firewire, which I realized is a big plus.. none of my PCs have it...
Well, down to business... I have a external eSATA/FireWire Terabyte HD and was planning on hooking it up to the iBook, and hooking that up to my airport extreme. I have heard of some people who have reservations about leaving a laptop on 24/7... but really, the laptop won't be doing much, the HD on the laptop will only be used for the OS (would it cause any problems if the laptop's HD isn't that reliable? it'll only be used to boot). The iBook will pretty much be just a router... to connect, and manage access to the external drive. That's essentially all it's gonna do. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Anyone know how much a Tshirt is? And if there's any way to get one other than going to San Francisco?
Doesn't it say right on there that its the only way to get them?
You can get them on ebay, but I doubt they are the 'official' ones.

I'm thinking about buying one of these dinky little mp3 players I've see. I kinda like the Creative Movo2 1.5 gig model, but can't find any details of whether it works ok with mac. Any ideas?
I really like the Packard Bell Audiodream too, but sinilar worries to above.
The only requirements I have are that my player be really small & have rechargeable battery.
No way I need anything as advanced as an ipod, I just wanna be able to play a few hours of tunes....

Also, I just noticed, no Google ads. Is that going to stay that way, or is it temporary?

http://www.zdnet.com/blog/computers/why-intels-22nm-technology-really-matters/5703
"Intel will use this novel 22nm technology to manufacture its Ivy Bridge processors, which should be in volume production in the second half of this year and available in PCs and servers starting in early 2012."
They start production this year. Won't be available until 2012.
yeah this is what i read
http://singularityhub.com/2011/05/04/moores-law-lives-intel-announces-launch-of-22-nanometer-3d-transistor-video/
The first processor using this 22nm 3D technology will be called Ivy Bridge and it will be available in the second half of 2011.
guess we will see.. maybe this year maybe not!

Oh well, thought I had a chance :( ;)
Doesn't matter, I'm approaching the big 500 anyway, so you'll be able to see it soon enough. :)
It was fun anyway!
It was an excellent one, so definitely don't sell yourself short! And as you say, we'll be able to see it soon regardless, so it's all good. :)
