That doesn't sound like a kernel panic if you were able to type at a prompt; it was most likely booting into the firmware...thats one place you don't want to be messing around unless you really know what you're doing...its like the BIOS of a pc

Thanks for looking kgarner.
I saved the images out in Photoshop to the resolution that the xml file sets the images at, so there shouldn't (in theory) be a problem there.
I got my mom to look at them from her PC w/IE at work, and she said they were distorted there.

It works fine. In fact, games run faster on Windows than OS-X, for the most part. I've played a variety of games on Windows XP, Windows 7, and OS-X, and the nVidia 8800 GT does a fine job. Maybe not as well as the more modern GPUs, but it does well enough (Portal 2 runs on High for everything, excluding Shadows at Medium, and x2 AA).

Anyone find a decent, easy to use compare folders app for Snow Leopard?
I've googled and all I can find are old, not updated, or look rubbish.
I want to basically compare 2 folders (one on Mac HDD, one on a NAS), and then sync between them. Mostly the NAS one wont be updated, ie I copy my photos to Mac HDD, backup to TM, and then also another copy to NAS for safekeeping.
Has anyone found one please. Preferably free, but willing to pay for a decent program
cheers

Are you sure it wont go into DFU mode? Unless you unlocked and messed with the baseland, I doubt its bricked.

After installing the latest update my friends iTunes login comes up in the app store. So I looked around and saw a few things to try. I synced it after logging in and out of the store. Ive trying so many things and no matter what that old login will not go away. I have the new one in every spot. I honestly have no idea how it even came back. Oh I had this happen with 4.3.1 jail broken update.

Yeah, you're right about them doing it for free part.
I'm just frustrated that they might not release it for another few weeks. My ipod has been useless since I can't install a bunch of apps I need... that I can only install after a jailbreak. :(
Does anyone have any idea when they'll release an untethered one for 4.3?

There is a tutorial around the web for doing this with Adobe Flex for free. Though all of these rely on Flash so no SEO at all.
Next up is have a look for jQuery page flipper, i've seen a few effects built ether in the canvas or with jQuery and these are much more SEO friendly and also free if your willing to put in the work to follow the tutorials and documentation.
The flash=No SEO isn't as true anymore as long as it's built properly, google can index flash now; but you don't get the SEO value of h tags with flash.

If you delete it, and you lock up your phone installing something from Cydia or other, and do a respring/start, SHSH will open automatically and you can SHSH in and fix things. You'll need SBSettings to do so (which will also allow you to go to Power>Safemode and turn things off in Winterboard). Nice to have the option to go in there at will. You can change your password using MobileTerminal (not the one on Cydia, Google for the most recent or go to XSellize for it).

You could alternatively hook the Mini up to your TV and use it as a HTPC.

Check your Apple System Profiler and see what it lists as USB ports/devices.
Nothing is listed, even though a device is plugged in.

Run hardware test.
What monitor/s and how are they connected?
Cheers
Hadn't thought of running a hardware test. Thanks.
I am using an 22" Viewsonic LED connected via MiniDisplay Port/MiniDisplay-DVI adapter.

I'll be getting off of work early to go to La Cantera and pick up Leopard on the 26th....
Do you think it's going to be packed? I know it wasn't really that packed when I bought an iPhone on the 29th.

I use powersupport and nearly every PS installation will do this and it's super easy to fix. Drag your thumb nail (nail side of your thumb down) slowly over the bubble area, starting a half inch from the trouble spot until your nail slides off the phone. Keep working it and it'll get smaller and smaller then disappear. After each nail drag press with your thumb HARD on the spot and rub around slowly. Then drag again.
This worked well, thanks for the help

Ok, I hope some of the experts out there can help me out.
I'm using photoshop to make some high quality posters that I'm going to print out using our university printers (very nice, archival paper, etc.), and I want to be sure I'm doing everything I can do ensure the highest quality I can.
So this is what happened, I started making these posters with no intent to print them at first, and so I made them 10"x6.67" at like 150 DPI. NOW, I want to print them at 18"x12" and also at the original smaller size. Also in these posters it's pretty much just text and shapes made using the shape tool, some textures, etc. Here are some of the one's I've done up to now to give you an idea of what I'm working with:
https://lostindesign1.wordpress.com/
I have a variety of questions:
1. Is it true that if I just go into the current file and change it to 18x12 at 300dpi, it won't actually be that quality? I've heard this is true.
2. Would it be best to make a new file at 18x12, 300dpi, and then import everything from the old file, or simply make them new again? (NOTE: I have no real objection making them new if it will make it nicer, also, there's a lot of things I actually want to change with them so I wouldn't mind starting from scratch).
3. Going off of that question, let's say I make an 18x12, and I want to print a 10x6.67, could I just decrease image size, save it in a printable form, and that won't affect quality?
4. That reminds me, what is the best format to print from? I know not JPG, but maybe TIFF? not really sure here.
4. When using these shapes and texts, should I rasterize them once I'm ready to print, or does that not matter? Or is there something else I should be doing? I'm confused about this whole rasterizing thing.
Sorry for the boatload of random questions, I just want to be sure I'm getting high quality stuff here when I print these, as I'm going to be giving some as gifts and I just want them to look nice around my apartment.
Thanks to everyone who helps out!

The article you linked to is very old and was corrected by an update. Apple uses AMD discrete GPUs in it's 15" and 17" MBPs. I don't think we'll see anything AMD in the 2011 Mini.
It'd be a huge surprise if Apple chose to use and AMD CPU in the Mini considering they're unlikely to use a non-Intel CPU in any other Mac running OS X.
