750 GB... that is just insane, especially for a consumer Mac! :D Apple is getting nicer and nicer when it comes to offering more configuration options.

If I'm on a wifi network outside of my house, does my Mac need to be turned on and not in sleep mode at home in order for this to work? Can the Elgato device be turned on while the computer is off? (I don't have one of these, but have been considering getting one).
I'm not sure of details about how this stuff works (though I do have the Elgato USB device) yet. But doubt this works if the Mac is off because the USB device requires a running OS for it to read data off the TV connection and process it.
I can say for sure the Elgato stuff is solid on my MBP and works well. Looking forward to seeing it serving as a proxy for my iPhone.

Are you referring to what you see in the photo?
I suggest you look at pictures of current Formula 1 cars. They are constructed of carbon fibre panels, painted, and are gorgeous.

The markets are really segmented at $499, $999, $1499, and $1999.
Hence iBookG4User's price points...
It is a good deal of greed that separates those who are happy to buy something at $c and sell it at $c + $p from those who decides it is not even worth their while unless $p = 20% * $p...
Even though your last equation seems wrong (1=20%) you seem to forget that $p typically pays for marketing, administation, R&D and finally profit. 20% gross margin is pretty poor.

Sweet! Does 3g unrestrictor work for this too??
Don't know what that is (going to assume it's a jailbroken app), but the EyeTV app works officially in both 3G and Wi-fi environments.
And for all the newbies that can't turn on NAT-PMP, a screen shot is attached. It's exactly the same for AirPort Express too. If you don't have an Apple router, turn on UPNP in your router's settings (it's probably turned on by default). This is the same technology that requires "Back to My Mac" to work.

The paint is under the glass so I don't see why it would stain! Unless you're just making a joke, in which case I digress.
Yes, intended to be a joke. But, obviously a bad one since I needed to identify it as a joke. Oh well. As wise man say, there's a fine line between clever and stupid. :p

Things like the forum replies, or like "Will it blend?"?
The "Will it blend?"-series is pure genius. It is not some random Joe smashing stuff, it is a for-profit company spending very few dollars and getting extremely wide coverage.
Its silly things like this that make US companies extremely successful. That guy is laughing all the way to the bank.

All beer sucks. That beer has been dressing itself up like wine for the last few decades or so is hysterical. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. IMO, there's no difference between Budweiser and Chimay, except that Chimay manages to be even more disgusting. Don't even get me started on crap like Guinness. And before anyone says anything, I used to work in good restaurants for 20 years, I've had just about every beer you can think of- all of them are nasty. Beer is the only beverage that tastes even worse the more you pay. Hey- I tried it. :p:p:p:p
Beer is easily the worst alcoholic beverage on the face of the planet, right next to grappa.
That is a personal preference lee. And despite your opinion there are major differences in quality, taste and process. Btw. technically Guinness isn't a beer according to German standards because they don't have a pure yeast based fermentation but a lacto-bacillus "tainted" fermentation, hence the bitter taste and texture. I had some very interesting discussions with friends in Munich who have brewing degrees and work at some of the major German breweries on this very topic.
As for Grappa, what gives? I find it very pleasant when mixed with Espresso after a good italian meal. If you want to talk nasty then you could probably argue Ouzo or Raki, but that maybe just because I absolutely abhor the taste of anis.
I personally can't stand any type of whiskey, rum or brandy unless severely diluted and mixed into a cocktail because I happened to have gotten myself disgustingly pissed on whiskey coke once and ever since then get nauseous at just the smell of something even remotely resembling whiskey. Does that mean I don't believe there are different levels of quality etc.. Nope, it's just not my cup of tea.
As for wine, what other forms of alcoholic beverage have too little in snobbery, wine as gone overboard on. No friggin' bottle of grape juice is worth more than 150$ a pop, 250$ if I squeeze both my eyes shut and count to ten. Anything beyond that is complete and utter horsesh*t.
Cheers,
Ahmed

One more time: yes, I think the guy should have stopped, but I think she bears as much blame as she does. He tried to diffuse a hostile situation by leaving; her actions indicated that she insisted it continue. You have no idea what transpired.

musicians who travel a lot (like me) would not be happy with this at all. the process of miniaturization has allowed us to fill up the free space with more junk. i love that my powerbook is small and (mostly) all it needs is built inside. i got enough to worry about with my ipod and external drive. and yeah, something feels very 80s about this. keep thinking apple.
