I had the same issues but yesterday I updated to the 3.1 and my iPhone is now back to normal. It took apple 2 loooooong weeks to fix this but it's finally corrected.

There is a difference between sales and market share. Without a doubt, part of the appeal of android is cost - it's just cheaper to buy. However, it's not as simple as you suggest
Some people buy it so they can have a larger screen, some because they want a keyboard, some because they have specific hardware needs (e.g. The US Army), some because they do not want to live under of the heel of Steve Jobs twisted moral code. I could go on, but it's become the proverbial dead horse. Sure, Android has pitfalls in that it can run almost anything, but I would rather have the freedom to make a bad app choice than to live in the walled garden that iOS is becoming.
In short, the freedom to make choices, even bad ones, is superior to being spoon fed like a baby as Apple tends to do.
Then too each their own. Obviously, you don't care for Apple's way of doing it and we could argue the pluses and minuses, but I don't think Apple's way is the wrong way. It's different and seems to be working fairly well too given they are company to beat in many categories right now. And as much as you love all the freedom with the Android based phones, I also think that is one of their problems. But again, we could debate forever.
Either way, you consistently feel your point of view is the only point of view. I don't feel "spoon fed like a baby" by using the iPhone. It does everything I want a smart phone to do plus some and there seems to be a ton of consumers out there that agree.
You know, you'd be much more respected here on this forum if you'd stop with the back-handed comments and ridiculous statements. Nothing wrong with having an opinion, but you can do it in a constructive manner and not a childish and shallow way. I don't buy from either of these any more after being introduced to Gomusicnow.com (or any of the other 25 similar sites). 9 cents per song, or ~$.80-$1.5 per ALBUM. Quality 320 for most newer albums and 220-300 for older. Can't beat it.

Uh, that would be an iPhone 5. You do realise that 5 is the generation when people talk about iPhone. Apple has yet to name their next device, but whatever real name it will have, it will still be the 5th generation iPhone.

Actually apple often doesn't directly post changelogs for devs either. It's more a list of where they want you to test with many releases. They're kind of famous for that...

Yup, I was one of the haters when the iPhone 4 leaked. I still prefer the physical design of my 3GS. The rounded edged are perfect holding the phone feels like shaking someone's hand. The iPhone 4 doesn't feel as nice to hold, even if it does have nicer aesthetics.
I would kill for a return to the old design, but eliminate the chrome rim on the front and have the back case curl all the way up to the black face. Then made the back from a new material that doesn't crack as easily as the old plastic. Maybe a molded carbon fiber design? That would be sexy as hell. An iPhone 4 style dark grey carbon back casing flush with the now iconic black face, no shiny chrome ********.
+1 so long as it also has the A5 processor and HSPA+. I like this proposed redesign but then I have small hands and I've never liked the rectangular sharp edges of the iP4 or the glass back. I love my iPad2.

Before we finish on the bookfold tangent, I found a couple of useful sites that Snowy_River might want to peruse for his "booklet" style printing. This one (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2005021608303265) sets up a PDF Services script. This one (http://word.mvps.org/Mac/BookletsFold.html#BookletPrograms) looks at three programs that take a pdf (printed from Pages, or for that matter Word) and print in booklet form.
Back on topic, I am a heavy user of Pages (and other tools when they suit) and will certainly welcome the Charts and WP mode. Along with general usability tweaks.

Because it uses mDP for the connection. It would be confusing to users to have a data only port that looks like their video port (of course this really only affect Macs since most PC's come with DVI/HDMI...)

Well, I suppose recognizing the label to differentiate between the mini-DisplayPort and ThunderBolt ports would be a good step (a lot of people often mis-guess the USB connection). I realize it's a in a format similar to the mini-DisplayPort, however could this change? Either way, if that's their excuse it seems fairly thin.

Use -smp 8 if the are 2008 or earlier, -smp 16 if they are 2009 otco...

No I've been waiting for VM to get their butt in gear to launch Workstation. Parallels was simply a work around, a crappy one at that, until I could get VMWare. There is simply no way in heck I'm spending $80 on a piece of software that can crash my system. And before someone tells me to use Bootcamp. Yah right. Advanced Power Management does not work right under Bootcamp even with the latest version. When Parallels starts making a product that
1. Doesn't crash\freeze my system
2. Doesn't require me to force quite the application once every couple of weeks because the progress bar when I'm suspending a session has stalled.
3. Doesn't have sharing between folders that takes a good 5 seconds to parse the files and doesn't drop a file mapping in your file explorer.
4. Doesn't have the world's crappiest networking passthrough. I can't count how many times I've gone from one network to another to another and had it get confused telling me I might have limited network connectivity. So I need to repair the connection.
Parallels sucks but until now its been the only REAL game in town. Boo hoo I'm not paying for an app that IMHO is half baked to begin with. :rolleyes: At least I'm not outright going in search of a seral number and pirating the thing. Again its a tide me over until VM gets their butt in gear and releases this thing.
Dude, your doing something totally wrong. I've got Parallels running a 1.83ghz , 1gb MacBook and its pretty much instant at everything! Never hung on me every, suspending takes only a few seconds, likewise from resume. Sharing of files is instant, well no differenace than working on it nativly.
I have XP SP2, Office Sage, Visio, Project, Money and Autoroute all running and never have any probs.

Fear and greed, as always the two opposing driving forces behind the markets. Both are emotions and neither are rational. Just something to consider whenever you are tempted to say that the sky is either the limit, or it's falling. Chances are, neither is true.
