I have a similar problem, as a Brit I have a bunch of Region2 DVD's that I bought in the UK. Now living in Canada, I now have a bunch of Region1 DVD's. Luckily my DVD player can play multi-regions, but my PC/Macs can't.
Assuming he owns the DVD's (legal point) he could rip them so that the region code is removed - Mac The Ripper will do this. Unfortunately it seems that most software requires that the latest DVD drives are set to the correct region code prior to ripping. So best rip the whole lot at one time, before changing the region code again.
Alternatively buy a second DVD-ROM drive and use that for the other region.

Macs start region free but lock to the first region you use.
You can, however, change it up to five times.

Name-calling is a form of ad hominem attack that draws a vague equivalence between a concept and a person, group or idea. By linking the person or idea being attacked to a negative symbol, the propagandist hopes that the audience will reject the person or the idea on the basis of the symbol, instead of looking at the available evidence.

I'm not. Have you used the Samsung Galaxy S?? It's an amazing phone. I haven't used an iPhone 4, but it's similar enough to the iPhone 3Gs (with the new iOS) that I doubt a "test drive" of an iPhone 4 would convince me otherwise.
I have not used the Galaxy S phone. It does look great though. From my perspective, my iPhone is so much beyond being just a phone. With all the applications I have installed on it, the device is simply a part of so many activities I do on a day-to-day basis. It really wouldn't be that easy to replace it with another device.

I already have the Gevey Sim Card. My iPhone 4 now shows T-mobile as the cell phone carrier instead of Simple Mobile. I can make calls but the reception is a little spotty now. Do I still need to enter the MMS settings from Simple Mobile on my iPhone 4? The phone is not jailbroken, only unlocked with the Gevey. Thanks

Firstly, I believe you typed your link wrong. The following relates to the link without the extra "hunter" (if I'm mistaken, disregard).
Are you planning on having some sort of a controller where you can turn it on as opposed to oft irritating autoplay songs? In any case, I can't even get the mp3 files playing on their own.

Norwich is my store of choice too. I'm hoping to get there between 1 and 2pm-hopefully this'll get me a good place in the queue!

Well the first thing I'd say is, if you value your iPod, keep it away from things that can "squish" it. ;)
That being said, Otterbox is known for it's heavy duty cases. Maybe one of these will help. http://www.otterbox.com/apple-ipod-cases/apple-ipod-cases,default,sc.html
Also since you don't want a cover, this might be a bit over kill but still useful:

Is there a way of making the spacebar on a mac act like an enter key? It's anoying always having to press enter. Like on windows if you press space, it acts as an enter key. Anyway around this?
I don't understand. It's the same number of keypresses as long as you press the right one, isn't it?

iOS 4.3.3 is better than 4.3.2 for me in regards to battery life. I've even re-JB my iP4, and the battery life has remained pretty decent so far...
Thanks for the report. I've been having amazing battery life after upgrading from 4.2.1 to 4.3.2 and setting up as a new phone. Since I'm jailbroken and very happy with it, though, I suppose I'll keep with this and continue seeing how others are reporting iOS 4.3.3 battery performance.

So I really want to get an iPad 2 on launch day (March 25th), and be sure that I get one. It looks like all Apple Stores in Canada will be opening at 8 AM for the launch (http://www.ipadincanada.ca/ipad-news/exclusive-apple-canada-launching-ipad-2-at-8am-on-march-25/), though every time I call any Apple Store they tell me they aren't sure yet if they are going to be open earlier or not. This will be the first Apple product I will ever buy, but hopefully more to come :)
I would like some advice: How early should I show up to ensure I get an iPad? Will Southgate mall in Edmonton be open for the 8AM launch? It is still very cold here in Edmonton, and I don't want to be waiting outside for 4 hours. If we do have to wait outside the mall doors, when the doors open, will it be the fastest runners who end up in line first?
I would really like to make my first Apple product purchase the best it can be. Any advice on how I can achieve that?

Maybe iTunes has the keep the library organized setting on?
It is not iTunes exclusive. Copy and paste doesn't work in OpenOffice, Safari, Chrome, Pages, etc.
And the Drag and Drop is not within the iTunes folder. I cannot move files to iDisk, nor can I drag file to the Trash.

I've been at the Boca Park location since 1:45am. There are only about 12 people here right now. Ironically, I'm using my rooted G1 to provide a wifi hotspot, but not for long! =D

Just out out of curiosity, can't you queue the files?
http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mac/transmit-ftp-client-for-mac-os-x-gets-updated-to-version-4/530
Downloading ten files at 150KB/s is as fast as downloading one file after another at 1.5MB/s.

Just a general question but has anyone tested this yet? I know it supposedly works just fine but I was wondering how well the gestures that ARE in the previous trackpads work. For example, using launchpad can you scroll to other pages of apps using two finger scroll? Also what about full screen apps? Can you scroll between apps like a multi-touch trackpad. Thanks in advance.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)
And it might even be 8.1. Either way the PowerBook is pre-USB, so I'm not sure how a flash drive would work.

All-
I'm really keen on adding a guide on how to install 3rd party applications on iPhone Firmware 1.1.1. Before now, it was simple (AppTapp was all you needed). But now, with the extra jailbreak step, I don't think anyone has done a very good job of documenting the process and especially making it accessible.
I'd like to create a readable guide. Once we have the guide done, we'll post it on the iPhone blog.
Really, really high level (haven't done the research yet... hoping people who have done it already might be able to help):
-Jailbreak (supply step by step instructions)
-Install AppTapp 3.0 beta

Oooh, yeah, I see you are correct now. It seemed to be working, but I couldn't actually use my internet connection.
Any chance you can run a wire from your AEBS to your Mini so that it could share via airport?
You wanted to use sharing with a less restrictive method so that you could turn it on and off easily when you want to play DS, right? I guess changing the Airport settings between WEP and WPA over and over again would be very tiresome.... :(
When I shopped for a handheld, WPA was very important to me. It's too bad the DS doesn't support it.
