Monitor with headphones next time. They help isolate the sound so you can concentrate on exactly what the camera is hearing.

I guess it all depends on several factors:
1. What purpose do you have for external drives? Time Machine? Video editing?
2. Do you need it today? If so, eSATA is your only real choice until more Thunderbolt drives come to market.
3. How many drives do you need to attach externally? eSATA is one drive per connector. Thunderbolt allows for daisy-chaining drives.
4. Are you filthy rich? The first-generation Thunderbolt drives are gonna be very expensive.

I'm noticing the same thing - jerky animation, delays with typing. No new packages from the ones I had with all previous 4.x.x. Strange.

3am. Yikes. :eek:
I was thinking 530am would be good enough at UTC. I have a work meeting at 9am in Sorrento Valley. Perhaps I'm going to have to wait for iPhone 4. :(
I was just at the store, and there were already 6 people lined up to camp for the night! But I have a feeling that if you're there when the store opens, you should be fine. I really think this is all hype.
Fashion Valley won't let people line up until 5 am, so I'm thinking that might be a better bet.

hey guys i am adding ads to my app
i have a tab bar application and put adds on three of the tabs
to do this i dragged a add from the libary to where i want it to be
for each view controller that corrisponded to the tab i made it a ad delegate imported the ad framwork and made it a property and IBOutlet, i linked everything up in interface builder the ad to delegate and delegate to add, but the ad only randomly runs on my device.. why? heres my code
#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import "TableViewController.h"
#import <iAd/iAd.h>
@class TableViewController;
@interface AddViewController : UIViewController <UITextFieldDelegate,ADBannerViewDelegate>
{
UITextField *nameField;
UITextField *descriptionField;
TableViewController *delegate;
ADBannerView *banner;
}
@property (nonatomic, assign) TableViewController *delegate;
@property (nonatomic, assign) IBOutlet UITextField *nameField;
@property (nonatomic, assign) IBOutlet UITextField *descriptionField;
- (IBAction)cancel:(id)sender;
@property(nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet ADBannerView *banner;
- (void)save;
- (void)cancel;
@end
I would suggest looking over the documentation. In any event this is normal behavior.

I'm also not convinced that you can't control it from the iPad. On the unit I have, (when using it with my iPhone) the screen appears that way under the default setting and is controlled from the head. A simple change of the setting to "control from iPod" and the controls appear as normal.
Maybe he tries that somewhere towards the end and it fails, I dunno, I could not watch 9 minutes of that guy. :-)

How did you get the ghosting effect? Was it all done in iMovie, or what?
Are the iPods at the end stock footage or did you do that yourself?

Hi everyone
First post here, have had a good search through the forums and internet and I can't find much on this issue, what I can find seems to conflict, so I was hoping to get some concrete info.
I've been running Windows 7 though bootcamp on my 13" 2010 MBP for a couple of months with no problems so far. Relevant to this issue, I noticed the stock 250GB drive always made a very definite click every time I picked up my laptop, parking the heads to avoid any drive damage.
Having gotten a little tired of having to fit around a 200GB Windows partition, I bought a Seagate Momentus 750GB 7200RPM ST9750420AS today and put that in. Just reinstalled everything and I've noticed the drive is no longer clicking when I move the lappy.
Now I'm aware there could be several things going on:
1. The new drive is still parking it's heads, but for some reason I can't hear it anymore (Is there some software I can get to monitor this?)
2. The Apple Sudden Motion Sensor (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1934) may not have the correct firmware to interact with my new drive or vice versa.
3. The drive may have it's own motion sensor and there may be some kind of conflict with the Apple one in my MBP.
Any info on this would be much appreciated, I'm a little concerned that I'm going to wreck the drive if it's not parking up properly.
Cheers
Finn

Haven't actually read any of the books, but Dreamweaver usually comes with a great set of tutorials. Try those, and if the learning curve still is too steep, go for the Dreamweaver Bible (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0764543504/qid=1123025870/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/104-4406894-0006331?v=glance&s=books), The Missing Manual (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596006314/qid=1123025847/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/104-4406894-0006331) or similar. :)
I'd definitely agree with this advice. And if you don't go for the tutorial that Dreamweaver generally offers, you can always google for resources. I'm sure if you learned the general stuff from the tutorial, you'd be fine getting around and then could separately look up the more difficult stuff you want to accomplish. But books are probably an easier option :)

Do you have the Mach 5 cpu (the 300mhz one)?

I have a relative in a hospital, He is going to be a long time recovering so he brought in a notebook computer and can (almost) access the hospital WiFi. He can't reposition their access point, can't get a wired connection. He does get WiFi but it drops out frequently because the signal is weak. Apparently their system is designed to only cover common areas and hallways and he is about 40 feet away from a reliable signal.
So I'm thinking of a hardware fix. Perhaps a WiFi to Ethernet bridge that can use an external antenna and then we aim the antenna at the access point? I think we need to improve reception to make it reliable
What to get?

You must not use WEP. Change the printer if it doesn't support WPA, or connect it by cable.
Do you know if can I extend my A express wireless network with another A express at the printer to connect with usb?

Personally i used greenpois0n to jailbreak my ipod 4g, i havent used any other program though. One advantage of jailbreaking with greenpois0n is that you can have a custom boot logo :D greenpois0n is VERY fast and easy. If you google it, im sure you'll find a good tutorial :P

You can find the security slot on the back of the iMac.
Kensington (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/sel/334/laptop+locks.aspx) makes many of the locks, they can be found online for significantly cheaper than what the Apple Store or regular retail places will carry them for. Most are priced between 25-40.
This one (http://eu.kensington.com/kensington/en/gb/p/1174/K64615EU/desktop++peripherals+locking+kit.aspx) is intended for desktop use and can also lock peripherals.

If you spend a lot of time in Premiere Pro you want the Quadro.
Photoshop has an OpenGL mode, but it's off by default and is usually slower, so I would say your card won't really matter for Photoshop.
