Actually, Apple is using their monochrome version logo on their products since 1997-98:

Ugh, another cost-cutting measure from Apple, inc. Why am I not surprised?

You don't need Windows running via BC, unless you want to take advantage of all the hardware, like graphic intensive games for example.
Why do you need to create wireless networks via Windows?

I purchased it and installed it with the manufacturer's original CDs (I've had it for four years and used to run it on my windows machine, but purchased an iMac several months ago). bbw.exe is the band in a box for windows executable file (although I guess it's possible there is also a trojan with the same name).

I want to buy a new iMac and get the extra $75 off from macmall.com, but I'm afraid that they are lowing the price because they want to clear out these iMac's possibly to make room for new one's?
Does anyone see speed bumps or any kind of upgrade coming soon to the iMac line(ie: is this a good time to buy a new iMac)?

+1 safari barely consumes any space and for your benefit look into cleanmymac it will help you remove only junk so you dont go deleting programs you may need down the road.

I used to love my wired keyboard and my mighty mouse and thought I would never ever get used to my wireless keyboard and magic mouse.
It took me a week or so, I will admit, to get used to them both and now I would not go back for all the tea in China!
Trust me, you will get used to them and never look back...:)

Did you every run TinyUmbrella or similar tools on your Mac? Check your /etc/hosts file and make sure there's not an entry for an gs.apple.com. Or if there is an entry, that it starts with a #.

If anyone comes here looking for an answer to something similar, I solved my issue to my satisfaction.
Looking back over what I did, I noticed I hadn't compiled ffmpeg with libfaac enabled. After doing so, I find that the following converts the mts to mp4 with 160kb/s aac audio (the ac3 source is 192kb/s), no distortion:
ffmpeg -i <file>.mts -vcodec copy -ab 160k <file>.mp4
Since it's just a point-and-shoot camera, I realized I'm not missing much converting from ac3 to aac, so a single aac audio stream is good enough.

I recently purchased an Apple bumper. I really liked how it adds minimal bulk, no additional thickness and protects the iPhone. But it's not perfect, as the inner plastic can rub against the metal band and cause imperfections. It fits very well, but it might stretch under certain conditions.
This mod does two things, 1) stops the plastic from coming into contact with the metal band and 2) better fit. I lined the inner part of the bumper with little slips of tape. The plastic tape insulates the plastic from the metal. The surface of tape has little friction so it rubbing against the metal band won't cause any cosmetic damage. Now, the bumper has a perfect snug fit with my iPhone. What do you think?

Does anyone else's CPU and fans go full load when Spotlight is indexing with Lion? Or when installing XCode?
I wish that GFXstatus worked in Lion, i have a feeling that my ATi card is stuck on.
I don't have these problems with 10.6. I feel this new Dev2 has fixed most of the appearance bugs that I noticed, but it introduced a LOT of performance bugs.

Two blown up power supplies in the same computer tells me there is a bigger issue. I would start to suspect that there is a problem in the computer or the electricity from the wall socket.
Can you identify the actual part that blew up?
