The guitar rig mobile is designed to DI your guitar straight into your computer, the output from a mic, especially a dynamic mic like the Shure will be considerably quieter and if you simply crack up the input on the GRmobile you'll probably find that everything gets very noisy.
Have you tried this set-up yet? if so what issues if any are you having?
You may need to get a separate mic pre amp, but then that will give you a line level, which is probably going to be too hot for your input.

We maintain a few computer labs where I work and have some Macs on an Active Directory (AD) domain. The users (mainly students) log in and have their home folder on the network (via smb). It works great; users can take their environment with them wherever they log in and all that jazz.
Is anyone else running such an environment, and have you tried Lion yet? With the way Apple is moving (app store, OS more geared to the consumer) I wonder if these features will remain, or if there are problems integrating Lion into such an environment.
We love the flexibility OS X accords us; we can set up individual machines to either create local home folders for AD users, or use the network home directories, as well as lock down the machines pretty well.
I have not tested in an AD domain, but my understanding is SAMBA is being replaced (http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/03/23/inside_mac_os_x_10_7_lion_server_apple_replaces_samba_for_windows_networking_services.html) with Apple's implementation of it.
Using the NT domain controller will not be an option either. Active Directory only. I am not in an enviroment to test for you. Sorry.

Yes! I see that is a problem now ... thanks, Intell.
But, on the Redmond Pie website (http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-4.3.2-ios-iphone-4-with-pwnagetool-4.3.2-bundle-how-to-tutorial/), that was the file linked to in Step 1. So how do I find the correct bundle? I am unable to locate it on their site.
Thanks!

Alright, here's the question: I've got a file that's 900 bytes, but shows up as 4 kb due to the blocks in the file system (or something along those lines that I read a really long time ago). So while the actual file only takes up 900 bytes, it's a 4 kb file. Two of these together make 8 kb, and so on and so forth (I don't really need to tell you that). Well, I'm curious if when someone downloads that file (perhaps as a graphic in my CSS), are they downloading 900 bytes or are they downloading 4 kb?
If they're downloading 4 kb anyway, then if I can make that file a little bit bigger in size or quality that'd make sense, since it won't cost me or the user anything. If someone knows what's going on here, I'd really be grateful for an explanation. Thanks in advance!
-Chase

Entry Consumer Desktop (under $1300 USD):
I would have to say the emac 700 with the combo drive. You get a 17" monitor, a G4 and it is just over $1000 dollars.
I would like to see this model kept to replace the classic imac for perhaps...$899 after the next revision???
Consumer Desktop ($1300++ USD):
If I wanted the best system for the least money then the emac 800 SD would be my pick.
I think that the best value for the money and what you get is the 17" imac SD however. You get so much for the $500 more: a great FP widescreen monitor; a better designed computer; better videocard; more HD space...
Consumer Laptop:
12" 600mhz; 12" 700 mhz or 14" 700 mhz
My pick is the 12" 700mhz with the combo drive. I think that it is a better put together machine than the 14" and has a little more power to be worth more than the 600mhz of the 12". I don't think the 14" is worth the extra $$. It may be if it lets say had a 800mhz G3...something to differentiate it!
I am curious to see how Apple will update the form factor when they do!
Pro Laptop:
667mhz or 800mhz Powerbook
Tough call...depends on how much one wants to spend...I'll say the 800 simply for the reason that if you spend the kind of money the PBs cost you should get one that is better in every way than the consumer laptops (especially speed)
Pro Desktop:
dual 867 mhz; dual 1 ghz or dual 1.25 ghz; maybe even 17" imac SD
I like the dual 867 mhz model...simply because these seem to be stop-gap models and I think that you get an excellent machine for $1699 compared with the 733 G4 and 800 G4 (the past entry level models). Why pay the big $$ when you get a great dual for $1699.
and what the heck:
ipod 20GB for $499- $100 more than the original for 4x the space + case and wired remote = great deal!

Happened in China,December 2, 2010. When Jinna (a filmmaker) was travelling in Moscow, she used iphone4 to send three micro-Bo messages, the China Unicom (a carriers) asked her to pay 3,900 yuan RMB for this access to the Internet for communications. This called the most expensive micro-Bo in the history. What's your opinion about this?

IMAP doesn't sync contacts - you can use your exchange setup to sync mail, contacts, and calendars (and I believe notes, not 100% on that one), is there a reason why you wouldn't do that?

I have to agree - while an iMac internal hard disk can be replaced, it isn't easy, and it looks easy to break something.
Go with an external disk. As long as your iTunes library can read it, so can your Apple TV.

This works now
By default it's by most recent, but you can change it by clicking on the Sort By thing at the top of the list.
if you choose by artist, it will sort by artist, then album then song. Also, I just added Album to the listings.
My bad. missed that :D
Thanks
Dave

Note that bootcamp plugins are not supported for windows 7 64bit. Only 32bit version. So if you want to use your graphics card, your USB-ports, internet etc I advice to install the 32bit-version.

what do you guys think about this:
http://guides.macrumors.com/Template:Tigertip
as seen here:
http://guides.macrumors.com/Spotlight
Some of the guides are Tiger-only, so I thought I'd make that little badge.
I like the graphic, and think it will add value to the guide. My only concern is that once Leopard comes out, and spotlight is suddenly on more operating systems than just Tiger (as well as the rest of the 200+ Tiger features that manage to stick around), how easy/difficult will it be to update all those pages that have Tigertip on them?

I use mine as an HTPC and home server. Its been on 24/7 since last July I think is when I bought it and have not turned it off, other than a couple of automatic reboots when updating the OS. I wouldnt hesitate at all - it runs cool and very quiet. Just be sure to keep it well ventilated and dont stack anything on it.

Hi there,
Nope! This is a completely different set. The original one from DOD was a 5 MB set while this one is 98MB.

I'm wondering if there's a keyboard shortcut that will let me navigate to the place(s) on a webpage where there is a text box for input, rather than having to move the mouse to that exact location when I'm moving between web pages ... ?
