I'm hoping the single player is better than Halo 3's at least.
That is a VERY low bar to set, so you shouldn't have much trouble topping it.

You can't start a thread like this and not give us your first impressions! :D
I'm looking forward to Reach, although I'm also keeping myself grounded over the hype. I've generally enjoyed Halo but have been dissapointed in one way or another by everything since the Xbox original. I'm hoping the single player is better than Halo 3's at least.

oh, man i hope they're not sacrificing one of the MAIN benefits of the iPod, usability, for a big screen. one of the things that's always made the ipod great is that you can hold it in one hand & navigate easily w/ your thumb. having to slide your thumb around the edge of a 4" tall device would suck.
i'll wait until i hold one in my hand before i start freaking out.

So what you're saying is: Clone my current Mac OS X 10.6 drive then boot Mac OS X from there? And while I'm booting off of my Mac OS X drive, then I install Boot Camp from there right?
Thanks for the info too. :D

Happy Birthday, and welcome to MacRumors!
I have an iPod Classic myself, and I don't see myself getting rid of it - although an iPod Touch or iPhone is really nice, both for playing music and for apps.
The reason I bought the Classic is simple storage - my library is too big to fit on a Touch. I also don't care to listen to music with my phone (mostly because of battery life). My iPod spends most of its time plugged in in my truck, although I do take it out when I fly or otherwise ready to spend a fair amount of time want to listen to music uninterrupted.
As for refreshes, those typically come around September, for back-to-school sales, but there's no guarantee they'll do it again this year.

They had all wifi blacks, and all but the 16 wifi whites. They had enough for all tickets given out, but that may be about it.
Ended up getting a 64gb White. Had a great time :)
So no 3G?

:( Oh well. I suppose the 6G mercury still outperforms it's 3G predecessor even on a SATA2 controller ? You reckon it's worth putting a 6G Mercury on the Areca controller where I assume it should really shine or stick both on the onboard sata2 controller and reduce complexity.
Assuming that disk does what they claim in terms of sustained sequential throughputs (the 3.0Gb/s units didn't, but weren't slouches), it would fare better on the Areca than the ICH.
What you need to pay attention to however, is the random access performance which is what OS and applications rely on (so far, I've not been impressed with that particular bit of performance from 6.0Gb/s SSD's - I've not gone out and looked at all of them, but it's not what I'd have hoped for, which is at least double the previous drives).
This bootcamp disk, I am suppose to burn it using the bootcamp utility or is it included ? This is really my first mac you see, hence all these trivial questions about bootcamp and dual booting.
It's on the system disks, but you can also download it, then burn it to a DVD as well (might be a good idea, just in case there's a newer version).
So bootcamp is just a partitioning and driver preparation/injection? utility.
Yes.
Where as in my case I am using two different SSD's and not sharing one with OSX. Hence bootcamp is of no real purpose to me other than the drivers it has for Win7.
Correct. The only thing on that disk that could be useful, are the Windows drivers (installed by running the setup.exe file on the system disks). If you're not running wireless however, Windows 7 should be able to the latest drivers on it's own (only the wireless drivers seemed to be problematic IIRC, so run it if you're using a wireless keyboard and mouse).
So I can just stick a win7 dvd in and boot off the thing by holding option key and selecting the superdrive to boot from and Windows 7 setup will start ? And once setup finishes I just stick the bootcamp diver cd in and install the drivers or do I have to provide them during Windows 7 setup ?
Yes. Install Windows, then the drivers off of the system disk (setup.exe).
Further information can be found here (http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/).

Sorry about late reply, crazy hours at work.
It shows that your only 22! language acrobatic funny rappers have more lyrics than the original hard core rappers?? what?
[snip]
Damn Need I go on to school you?!!! :D ;)
well i was more thinking about hip hop/rap in my own language ;) and in german it's sounds like hypocrisy singing about ghetto and the whole gangsta thing .. most are simply copying US ones
(i didn't knew a single rapper you mentioned, not interested that much, after all i'm more the rock'n'roll guy ;) so you would need a lot of cars to drag me into hiphop-school)
about age: try finding lots of (male) hiphop fans older than 20 over here... they are the exception and not the rule.. for me hiphop is still teenager music stuff simply because of the people who like it over here .. if you don't grew up with it you won't like it later

I posted a similar thread though I'm looking for a new cam under $1,000 except I use FC. I have been using miniDV tapes for my transfers and have only used a simple SD Camera a few times, where I bring in videos one clip at a time to FC.
Just looking for a good site that can help me out with my choice or maybe someone who has bought a new video camera lately in that price range and has some input.
Here's what I'm looking for in my new camera
Good lowlight (I like to get shots without spontaneously, so I don't have to turn every light on)
- Lots of moving around so great stabilizer
- portability
- hard drive and SD card, incase I fill up the hard drive
-1080p would be nice, though of course not needed
- good a shooting speed shots such as sport shots, and dogs ( yeah I'm one of those who video tapes there dogs and YouTube it, why lowlight is important)
I want to get a pro camera but do not have the money, plus the add ons get really pricey. I can just rent a pro cam or borrow one when needed. I read more about pro cams them your typical consumer cam and just want the best cam for FC, and my small list above.
Thanks for any sites I may not have checked. Plus consumer reports have been limited in what I read, nor am I fan of reviews on best buys site, just using them as example.

That's not true. Apple won't cover the RAM that you put in it, but since it is a user-replaceable part, they can't void your warranty for replacing it. Apple store employees are clueless about warranties.

Edit: Forget everything... :o
Go with the photoshop option...
I thought you could use the palett that appears when you "center" an image, to decide the colour of the rest of the desktop, even if you didn't have an image... think I could do this earlier (but that might have been back in OS 9...)

I went to get a new motherboard today at a local computer shop.
I asked for a motherboard that supports AM2+ the two computer people behind the front desk looked at me and said ok.
The one lady says AM2 is the brand of the processor, and that it must have some number to it.
I then asked for a motherboard with the Amd 890X Southbridge. And the lady then said the what?
I said the chipset, she then replied, " Oh yeah some motherboards have co processors that are called chipsets that you could replace.
(Are you kidding me!)
Anyways to end this rant they tried to sell me a Asus motherboard for $120 which I found online for $60, and another motherboard from Asus running the Amd 890X chipset for $190. Which I also found online for $100.
Crazy!
They don't have a clue what they are talking about, and they are extremely overpriced.
Step above scam artists.
Though they were nice enough to print off the spec sheets with the price for me.

A subscript is the index you use to access the element of an array. In the C expression array[i], i is the subscript. In the C expression multidim[i][j], i and j are the subscripts. The term comes from mathematical matrices.
