He got drunk one night and woke up with a huge tattoo of Steve Ballmer in the middle of his chest. That's why we'll never see him in an open-collared shirt.
Reminds me of a dream I had a little while ago about getting really drunk and getting ****** tattood on my shoulder, that would've taken some explaining:o
*yeah like I'd post what it was : rolleyes :

I will try to be a little more descriptive.
The interface resembled large folders, like the ones on the finder. They were pinkish and tan-ish.
Also, there were buttons for each application on the folders. These buttons were square. Hope this helps in finding out the name.
Also I believe that its name starts with a 'P'

i haven't actually chosen the TV yet, will be a 42" HD LCD is all i know for sure.
i am not worried about an incredible frame rate or anything, i only get 15 FPS now! but i was told that using DVI to TV will actually cause WoW to crash. i am not sure why, but that is the word on the warcraft board, so i thought i would see if anyone else had experience there.
i am not sure if this is an issue only with the intel machines, or only with DVI, if perhaps component works, etc, that is why i am looking for other experiences.
...i hope they update the mini soon, i am ready to buy, and the mini is due a refresh. ;-)
That's odd. For fun I hooked my comp up to my projector through DVI so my older brother could enjoy some ridiculously large WoW and it worked without issue. It was running from a G5 though, so I have no idea if it's just a an issue with the mini's.

I was a junior in college. I woke up around 9:30, and when I went to my computer I had 2 IMs from friends. One said "Turn on the news" and the other said "Turn on your tv, big stuff happening." I turned it on in time to see footage of the towers getting hit, it just blew me the **** away. I was dating someone who worked for the Senate, and spent most of the day trying to get through to her, as well as my family in New Jersey to make sure everyone we knew were alright. I remember random things, like my friend Noah im'ing with friends in NYC and calling their parents since their phones were jammed....I can't believe it's been 4 years. It feels like it was both longer and shorter. It was burned into our national (and international) conciousness, but the time frame seems so small....

I think I'm missing something re: getting the new iPod software for my 5G iPod. I installed iTunes, and it tells me that mine is up to date with version 1.1.2. Is there a separate download that I'm missing?
I had to hit the restore button, then it finally showed that there was the 1.2 update. all is well for me now, search functions, games, and downloading a movie now to test.
- the games look incredible, mini-golf is really addicting!

You've gotten to do some really awesome things and now you've got the money and time to find and do more of what you want!

In both cases of fopen(), you are assuming a particular value for current working directory, and from which your relative pathnames are assumed to be sensible.
I suggest checking your assumption of working directory, perhaps by NSLog()'ing the actual value, such as returned by the C function getcwd(). You should read the man page for getcwd() to see what its parameters are.

What's this going to do to the NeoOffice project, I wonder? Neo exchanges Office file formats already, and it's Aqua so a pretty familiar GUI. For me, that free app is perfect. It'll be a shame if it loses support from the masses.

I was studying for a test the next day. My mate came running up the stairs of our flat and said "Screw the studying guys, the world's just come to an end!". We ended up spending the rest of the day watching the news.

They're really lumping iOS and *ANDROID* sales together?
Doesn't Android get something like 1% of the sales iOS gets?
I was thinking the same thing

I wonder what the battery life is going to be like on this beast. It's going to scratch like mad unless they've got a new material for the front surface. And because it's all touch sensitive, no hard plastic cases.
Hmm, Intriguing ...

Yep...and as an aside:
There is no good reason why you shouldn't be doing your TM backups hourly as is native to the program since you have a desktop. With a laptop I can see situations where you don't have a connection to the HDD occasionally.
Your frequency of "every few days" means that TM has to do a larger backup each and every time while the hourly backup will do tiny backups...only what has changed that hour...sometimes nothing if nothing has changed (overnight for example) sometimes a few GB if you rip a DVD perhaps. It runs in the background, so it doesn't impact you at all.
The one time you accidentally delete a file you started working on this morning (and is therefore is not in your 'every few days' backup) is the time when you will be so happy you went back to TM's default settings. :)

All these crazy profits quarter after quarter, and they can't lower the prices...
Unreal greed.
the "problem" is that they dont have to and make no mistake that the only thing any company cares about is making profit. Even as much as i love Apple there are shareholders to be pleased..

If you're waiting for a jailbreak, why would you update? If you have done the SLIGHTEST bit of researching on this forum or any jailbreak forum, you would know NEVER to update until it is clear that a jailbreak exist for the firmware that you are updating to.
If the jailbreak doesn't support 4.3.1, you have NO ONE to blame but yourself.
Thanks!!!

This is in line with the iPhone life cycle.
2007 - iPhone (the Apple Beta)
2008 - iPhone 3G - Complete Redesign (or, IMHO, the "real" launch)
2009 - iPhone 3GS - Modest update
2010 - iPhone 4 - Complete redesign
2011 - iPhone 4.5 - Modest update
2012 - iPhone 5 - Complete redesign. (or at least, significant overhaul.)
iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.
seems like apple is using the same modus operandi "tick-tock" as intel :apple:
