You do know that the accelerometer output consists of 3 values for the X Y and Z components of acceleration, right?
B
Yes i am aware of the accelerometer's capability. But i am only working with the X readings for now..
The acceleration.x readings are casted into integers and saved in a stroreArray, In a button press the values are saved, when the button is pressed again different set of values are saved...
I have this code in the method i am trying to compare the values from the accelerometer reading.
.
.
int value=0;
for (int i=0;i<storeArray; i++) {
{
if ([[storeArray objectAtIndex:i] intValue] == x && [[storeArray objectAtIndex:i+1] intValue] == y)
{
value++;
}
[array2 replaceObjectAtIndex:position withObject:[NSNumber numberWithFloat:value]];
}

Regardless of the mic's quality, being that it is on-camera would mean that only the sounds very close to the camera would be picked up well.
On-camera mics are notorious for overall poor sound recording. If you want good quality audio recording, you'd need to mic the sound source(s) properly and with the right type of mic(s).

The Centris 660av was one of the shortest-lived Apple models, and I would guess it was one of the rarest. It was only in production for two months before it was replaced with the almost-identical Quadra 660av (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macintosh_Quadra_660AV). (The Centris name had been introduced as a "low end" Quadra with the Centris 610, but after the 660av came out, they merged the brands for simplification purposes.)
I have what is, last time I checked, a working Centris 660av. Well, the hard drive is gone, but it has an external SCSI drive that boots it. That drive could probably be put inside.
I am in the process of moving, and really need to down-size my stuff. The Centris has no use to me (it's 25 MHz... yes Mega), but I love the kitschiness of how rare it was.
I saw one go on eBay for $10. Hardly a fitting end for such a cool Mac (a pizza box, as these models were called). Can anyone help me find a better home for it?

I actually still put in my e-mail address from my old ISP when they don't actually have to e-mail me.
Look around for e-mail accounts though. I'd do a Google on that one if it were me.

I agree, but is it (appropriate/right/legal) to just copy-paste the relevant material into the guide?
I don't think so--the guide is copyright by Macrumors, but according to this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights#Users.27_rights_and_obligations), you must make the text available under the same terms as the GFDL.

Did you not realize that was the link posted in the original post?
Not everyone wants to have to click through an obscure link just to see what the OP was talking about. :rolleyes:

as much as GPS meta-tagging would sure have the wow factor on the '07 release of iPhoto. the recent rumour only mentions that iPhoto has a missing button that contains a link that goes to google maps.
Linking this tidbit, to a supposed handheld device that apple is developing combined with the yet to be seen iPhone seems to be blowing things out of proportion, somehow the cynic in me says that all the next release may do is link your keywords / album names to google maps without the precise location where a photo was taken. It sure will be a busy MW'07 if it does transpire though!

Apple Stock 5400RPM HDD. 160 GB. (ye, me poorfag)
I have some choices
1. Is a reformat able to get it back to 50~ MB/s ?
2. Is the SeaGate Momentus XT 500GB Hybird 7200RPM good?
3. Is the Intel 302 SSD (80GB) good? Will it have problems with OS X? Or just go with X-25M?
4. Which should I get?
Thanks :)

Obviously the Optimum for iPad app will need to be on removable media to get it onto my computer which would be steps 1 and 2 above.
I will need to have the itunes account on the computer i will be using to do this, which is just a simple copy the itunes folder into a temporary account on that machine. (Not the usual machine iPad syncs to).
I should be able to PM this afternoon.

Wasn't there a rumor going around a couple months back about M$ making VPC free? That would make sense now if they're going to discontinue it, and let us PPC users have it for free. Who wants to pay for a product that won't receive any updates?
VPC is free for Windows. Not the Mac version. They can wring a little bit of life out of the PPC version yet, I'm sure. There's no (serious) competition on PPC.

Couldn't you just borrow a wired keyboard off a friend or perhaps borrow an old one from your work?
Do you have the Apple Wireless Keyboard or a 3rd party one?

well i figured that the chances of someone using a 10 year old camera on a 2 week old computer were not high. The funny thing is i got more help at FredMiranda than I did posting on the apple discussion Aperture forums.
Hopefully Apple will let me know what is up today or tomorrow.

What will happen?
The universe will implode from the mass if dark matter.
Every new OS makes more demands on the system, weaker the system, the harder it has to work to keep up.

Hi everyone,
I have Logic Express on my Macbook Pro but now I need a keyboard/speakers etc to be able to use it. I have no idea what to get - to be honest I want the cheapest possible just to get started as money is tight at the moment.
I'm a keyboard player so eventually I'd like a keyboard with weighted keys but it doesn't have to be to start with.
So: what keyboard? speakers? anything else?
You are a keyboard player and you don't already own a keyboard??? Use what you have. You of course need to connect your K/B's MIDI to the mac but just et the correct cable
The cheapest speakers would be those little earbuds that cam "free" with your ipod or your computer's built-in speakers.

MacRumors site design has been updated.
The new design preserves the basic feel of MacRumors but brings improved "standards" compliance and improved site navigation. Raw HTML file sizes should also be reduced.
Please report any errors or navigational difficulties to arn (http://forums.macrumors.com/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=1).
MacRumors' Forums will also see a major version upgrade in the future at which time the forum style will be brought into line with the new design.
A few things to note:
- Ad free 'contributors' section will be functional shortly.
- Permanent story links can now be found by clicking on the Article Titles.

This is something that I would like to have as well. Actually, making a thread about this has been on my to-do-list.
Definitely something that I've been missing. The next and previous thread links are completely useless

Hey guys,
Im in a shared living environment at the moment where we are sharing a business class internet connection. All of the rooms are wired for internet and there are usually about 60 connections to the internet.
Hardware:
Modem
AirPort Extreme
2 Switches
7 Air Port Expresses
With this information, what would be the ideal set-up? If I want to preserve mostly internet speed and local transfers. Also, would I see any benefit from installing a gateway server?
I know that this is a lot of ask of you guys but I do really appreciate it.
Thanks

This is in line with the iPhone life cycle.
2007 - iPhone (the Apple Beta)
2008 - iPhone 3G - Complete Redesign (or, IMHO, the "real" launch)
2009 - iPhone 3GS - Modest update
2010 - iPhone 4 - Complete redesign
2011 - iPhone 4.5 - Modest update
2012 - iPhone 5 - Complete redesign. (or at least, significant overhaul.)
iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.
seems like apple is using the same modus operandi "tick-tock" as intel :cool::apple:

I can't say I'm not surprised, but I'm glad we have other options (that run well) at this time. I just hope this doesn't carry over to Microsoft Office (which has a separate Mac team from Vista I understand)
