In this thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=12265169&postcount=35 a user reports that they got 3.2.6 via Software Update.
I've never had SU show any Xcode updates on either my MB or MBP.
However, there are actually some Xcode updates listed in the Software Update catalog here: http://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-leopard-snowleopard.merged-1.sucatalog
So why isn't it offering them to me?

Thank you. I paid 40$ for it, so I don't think I'll sell it anytime soon. It makes a great writing computer, anyways. :)

There are a couple of options for you. Either install OS X to the new blank drive. When the install is complete and the computer boots, you will be presented with the option to migrate data from another source (computer, TimeMachine, etc...).
http://i.imgur.com/YH4rn.png
The other option is to use Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable replica of your system drive.
Here is an article outlining the steps for migrating to a new system using TimeMachine:

Not that I think Apple isn't doing what it can, or that I don't understand that there's sometimes an awful lot of legal stuff going on behind the scenes to bring a song onto iTMS, but how about it?
Kind of a wish list of things we'd really, really, like to see. If anything, it'll be another forum for discussing music.
For starters -- I'd really like to see some of the more 4AD stuff. Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil, Lush -- and their Pixies selection could use some beefing up (no Surfer Rosa?!).
Also, One Dove. They put out one album, but that album's been in my CD changer since it came out in 1993. I've never gotten tired of it. It's electronica to dance to. It's mood music to play in the background. It's make-out music when you got (eyebrows arched)a *lady* in your apartment.
Oh yeah. And the Grease 2 soundtrack. Just 'cause there's no way in hell I'd ever have the guts to actually buy the damn thing.

Okay I have an idea for a site where a user can type a word in a simple text box, hit submit, and the word is placed in a database (supposedly MySQL). Each time the word is submitted it's value will go up by 1, it is supposed to count how many times it's submitted. It should also contain information on when it was last submitted.
After that I need an RSS feed to update to show the words in order of how many times its been submitted and another to show them in the order of last submitted.
I have basic (VERY BASIC) skills with PHP and not much(except using PHPmyAdmin and installing Wordpress). How hard do you reckon this is and can you please help me to get this working?

I have Fusion 3 (via bootcamp) and housemate has Parallels (don't know what version). He wasn't happy with Parallels, but It also has gone through a number of revisions since. All the reviews say they are pretty much neck and neck for performance. It's just a choice of preference in the interface.

So i'm guaging the idea of selling my mbp since I am no longer tied to OSX due to my job. Since than it has seen less and less use as I am spending more time on my desktop.
Its a mid 09, with a 2010 battery. Intel X25 160GB SSD, Gskill 8gb ddr3 upgrade, 9600gt 256mb, and apple care is on it for the next year and a half (1 yr 9 months left). Good condition no hardware defects or issues.
Just not sure what to price it at considering the 2011's.

You can bet that companies like OWC will find a way to use this space for an SSD. Even easier would be to hook up an external SSD via Thunderbolt when it becomes available.
That's a good point about 3rd parties making things available. True about the external, but the option for internal would be nice.

There is of course a third option: having them professionally scanned. I know there are several places online and probably a few places where you live that will give you the best of both worlds, for a price, though.
Now, what could also work is import the CD versions and keep the prints so down the road if you want to make new prints you can scan them in at high resolution.

It's happened to me as well, for a couple times. Seems like either when the iPad goes to sleep, or the iPhone goes to sleep, the link needs to be re-established by turning off/on the personal hotspot feature.
Any idea how to avoid/fix it? Or is it another one of those "deal with it" type situations?

XtremeMac have just announced the AirPlay FM transmitter (http://www.xtrememac.com/pr_images/011105/index.shtml) for the iPod - looks like an excellent rival to the iTrip: no installation of playlists needed and doesn't cover the hold switch, both of which are annoying features of the iTrip, and the same model fits iPods and minis.

If you read the thread in question, you'll find the OP's desire to block the user is completely unfounded. The OP asked for advice, got good advice, then rejected it, as many in the thread pointed out.

I love my new MacBook Air and I'm trying to squeeze every bit of battery life out of it as possible. As a result, I'm taking a different approach from my MacBook and not installing Flash on my MacBook Air. There is the occasional piece of content on the web that's Flash only, so I was wondering if instead of installing Flash altogether, can I simply use Google Chrome when I want to play such content? I've heard that Flash is built-in to Chrome, and I use Safari as my primary browser. This way I could keep my current workflow as it is, and simply launch Chrome whenever I want to play Flash content. Would that work?

Check out MacTracker (http://mactracker.ca/). It's a cool little app that tells you all sorts of things about Macs, past and present.
Apparently it was a 5400RPM 60GB drive, with the option to upgrade the size to 80GB or even 100GB. :)

How many licenses does that include? More than one, I am assuming.
No. It is not the "Home and Student Edition," but the full-blown Office 2008 edition including support for Exchange Server and Automator workflows.
Only one license. The Home and Student Edition still has three licenses as a part of the package, but it's more expensive and does not have the support for Exchange server and Automator workflows.
Of course, you have to be an educator or student to qualify for Home and Student, I believe:
