As first noted in a HardMac forum post (http://forum.hardmac.com/index.php?showtopic=159&st=0&p=917&#entry917), it appears Microsoft is specifying in its license agreements that the ability to operate in a virtualized environment is prohibited in Home Basic and Home Premium editions, leaving users to have to purchase either the Business or the Ultimate versions of the software to legally run in a virtualized environment.
Mac users have found virtualization solutions such as Parallels Desktop a good way to switch between Mac OS X and Windows. This latest news from Microsoft may inhibit some use of the software as Business and Ultimate editions range from $300-400 verses Home Basic's $200 price point (prices (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/08/20060829093154.shtml)).

TB isn't redundant right now, it's dormant. The TB port on the MBPs right now is effectively useless until there are peripherals to connect to it. But as this thread demonstrates they are coming. First to the pro market but it will drip down during the course of the year. I think Mac OS X 10.7 and iOS5 are going to provide more urgency for TB in consumer markets as well. WWDC will be the big kick off.
I understand, I am just saying that the flash media that the iDevices use are holding back the transfer rates, not the interface.
If Apple were to use more than 2 flash chips and spread around the bits (much like ssd) then maybe we could see speeds pick up.
TB will be more urgent when Windows PC's get on board.

The only thing that sucks about this timing change is that my iPhone 4 won't still be under Apple's free 1yr warranty when I re-sell it to buy an iPhone 5.

I had no idea what I was doing when it came to photography when we hiked Leconte a couple years ago, so they are nothing special in their original form. I can't wait to get back there sometime in the future. How recently was this taken?

I will not use any cloud stuff anyway, if it's free or not doesn't matter. No need for government and corporations to gather even more data on everybody. It's a sour pill wrapped in a thin layer of sugar. Everybody embracing this cloud stuff seems to either be not very well informed or simply doesn't value freedom and the simple democratic rule of "innocent until proven otherwise".

Already beat the campaign. It was freaking awesome. There's definitely a few things I'd change; but the whole game is just filled with fan service.
Then, this afternoon I finally found a copy of Phantasy Star Portable 2. It came out today, but almost no stores are carrying it. Which is a shame, because I absolutely LOVE the Phantasy Star Online series. I've already put over 10 hours into the demo alone.

If you have enough competition, some carrier will fill that niche and offer a noticeably cheaper plan for non-subsidised phones. And when that happens, a full-price (non-subsidised) phone + those plans normally turns out cheaper than a subsidised phone + higher rates.
For example, regulation making life easier for mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) is one way to enhance competition.

Are people firing up their lawyers because Apple does not update their iPhone 3G that came with iOS 3 when they bought it in june 2010 ? Doesn't the licence flyer in the box say Apple will supply the current iOS version +1 ?
