Well if you listen closely to Steve later on in the Keynote when he talks about the MacBook Air not having an optical drive he makes it sound like optical drives are the next thing that will be obsolete.
Blu-ray does have advantages over HD DVD, but I own an HD DVD player and it is not garbage. I am not here for another round of fighting over the formats and I am now neutral and will transition to Blu-ray by adding a player when prices come down, but in no way is HD DVD garbage. It is a good technology that was poorly marketed.

Very Cool! I was playing with it a little last night and it seems quite intuitive. Just after a few minutes I was able to import an image. I thought it would have also been easy to ad a text field that I could write something in but could not find anything in the library even under the strings.

I looked up RipIt and it seems like theres two ways it works. The first is it is ripping the videots folder which basically copies the raw dvd files to your computer. So as you say doesn't compress the video at all. But can also compress on the fly which is what Handbrake only does.
So if you actually are ripping the videots folder then dropping that into Handbrake you are taking an extra step that is not really needed.
You don't gain anything in doing it this way because this is the way I actually used to do it myself.
Whether you are in RipIt or Handbrake just choose a preset to convert to and mp4 that you can then drop into iTunes. It will take about two hours to convert. But thats all you need to do.
In HandBrake use either the "Universal or AppleTV" preset and go. Don't adjust any settings.

Have you tested your print settings by booting into OS 9 rather than running classic?
Did your printer work on a previous system with the same software you mentioned?
I would guess that your main problem is that classic is a bit flakey with USB printing.
Ultimately you want to get the printer running under OS X with your applications also running native to OS X. To get the answer to this, you need to talk to Canon, to see if they have an OSX driver for your printer. If you bought your printer from a store, see if they can help.
If they don't have OSX drivers for your printer, start learning about CUPS, which is an open source UNIX printing environment which should have a driver for virtually every printer made.

I'm working on building an application that will appeal to a specific but rather dedicated niche. I'm trying to figure out how best to monetize; simply selling the app for $1.99 or using advertisements. However, I simply have no idea how much money the ad-supported model translates to.
Is the general consensus to use AdMob or iAds?
What kind of returns are made on ads per user? Is there any studies or statistics I can refer to to get an idea of what I can expect depending on my users' usage patterns?

Long story short: enabling TRIM support, at least on Intel 320 with the 10.6.7 OS X driver, is not the best idea.

Its a tray loader out of an iBook G3. :/ So it wont work unfortunately.
I'm willing to do 75 shipped, and throw in a 30GB hard disk, or 90 shipped and I'll throw instead of the 30GB a 40GB 5400RPM Seagate Momentus drive.
Would make an awesome upgrade for any iBook G3 computer.
$75 shipped for a 512 sodimm, combo drive, airport card and a 30gig HD? If so, I'll take that. PM me with your mailing address.

Thats not possible. Each frame is a separate, independent document, nothing can go into multiple frames.
You should really rethink how you're setting up this site. With only a few very specific exceptions, frames are always a bad idea.

you can only defrag and make password protected volumes on mac formatted ipods.. i have mine windows formatted so that i can use it for file transfers... oh well, send to trash...
