Under instant email notification, the forum system should send you only one email until you visit the forums. If you've been in and out of the forums all day, you will have received multiple emails. Each time you enter the forums after an email is sent, the clock is reset and the system seeks to again notify you of new replies.
Instant email notification isn't really appropriate for fast-moving threads.

You need to save it with a palette of 2 colours to reduce file size - if your software supports that.

Check your battery health with iStats or Coconut Battery. 4 hours seems to indicate your battery is screwed, unless you have Bluetooth on or you are running fairly heavy-on-CPU applications.

I have a bunch of discs that have come with magazines and stuff that I don't want. The magazine discs all have loads of software on them. Demos, shareware, freeware, mods. If you are looking for a certain piece of software please post here and I will see if I have it on a disc. Please keep in mind some of this stuff is not registered, it's just demos that you can get online. If you have a slow connection and want to download, say, a Photoshop CS2 trial, buying a disc with it from me would be much easier. Also on the magazine discs are reviews, videos, and tutorials. I will sell one for $1 shipped and 3 for $2 shipped. If you'd like to buy more than three, PM me and I will give you a special deal. They will be sent in small padded envelopes via USPS.
Here's what I can find:

Yeah, she's one of my favorite picks for this show. I work at UPN and there was a group of us in the master control room tonight, casting bets and jumping around when so-and-so was kicked out.

Hi - I only have MAC computers and have a video editing business. I am trying to figure out the best way to deliver clients their original, uncompressed digital files on external hard drives. MAC clients are easy, it is the PC clients that propose a problem.
Their files exist on my MAC formatted external hard drives. I have a PC formatted drive as well, but cannot write to it from my MAC (I can only read). How do i get the files onto a PC formated external hard drive?
I have heard of formatting drives to FAT32, making the drive able to write and read both mac and pc. But doesn't this partition the drive, therefore limiting the PC clients full use of their new drive?
There must be an easier solution that I am just not think of? Any other thoughts? Thanks for your advice!

Whatever tech you spoke to was clueless or was mistakenly thinking about JB and software unlock.
Like people said once a phone is factory unlocked it will never lock again and will accept any GSM sim.
Thanx for the good info, AJuiced. :D
I'm about to take a vacation w/a stopover in Canada -- and some friends want a factory unlocked iPhone.
Maybe I'll pick up one or two and sell them. Factory unlocked White versions seem to be fetching a slight premium ATM; but I'm not sure how long that will last.

Meh...I'm sure I could beat it in on go :D
He did make one crucial error that cost him about 4 minutes and umpteen lives on the first level. Somewhere between 6-8 minutes in he breaks a block in the ceiling that would have given him an easy run to the end of the level.
Man he sucks....:D

Hello-
I just got back from the Genius Bar regarding my 24" LED Cinema Display.
The genius basically just took a quick look, punched in the serial number, and said I need to pay $398.00 for a flat rate repair. I did not oblige to this, and thought I could repair it myself, as I am a A+ certified computer technition.
The problem is, Cinema Displays are not my thing. I have two thoughts on what it could be:
1. The Logic Board inside the Display as suggested by the Genius. When the display is plugged in, it charges my MacBook Pro, and that's all. It does not appear as a USB hub in system profiler, and the iSight camera and speakers are not utilized or even detected by both my MacBook Pro and Mac Mini.
2. The Power Supply...
It might be this, however since the unit charges my MBP i'm not sure about it. Other than the charging, the unit gets otherwise no power.
I'm going to open it up later and inspect for blown capacitors, burnt or damaged areas, ect. I'll post if I find anything.
Thanks!
I did a quick google search and it looks like the ACD logic boards are relatively inexpensive. Just over $100.
For a MBP that flat rate is a great thing, but in your case your probably better buying the part and repairing it yourself. I would do like you said, open it up 1st and inspect for damage. Make sure the board is getting power like it should etc...

i want to get a external HD to work with my 27" imac that i purchased last summer.
should i get one with Thunderbolt technology?
Also, would i hook this external up through my router or directly to the imac
neither of which have the thunderbolt connection port....
so, i'm wondering if there's any advantage getting one with TB
thanks for your thoughts

There's gotta be some sort of newer solution than OggDrop for this purpose, or if there isn't, surely an AppleScript can be created to automate this task. I have the Ogg components for QuickTime installed, as well as QuickTime 7 Pro. I've tested the export function in QuickTime also, which works perfectly - creating a nice Ogg Vorbis file. Surely there's a way to automate a mass-convert job of over 12,000 files using this approach... Google searches have proved fruitless.
